PORT OF QUEBEC Quebec, October 11. Arrived Ar rived--Bridgeport Sydney; Teutonic Liverpool; Willehad Hamburg; Royal George Bristol; Cornishman (Br.) Avonmouth'il Arrived 12fh Ascania (Br Loft don; Savoy Antlcostl; Glenfoyle Phields; Kronprln'z Olav Sydney; Lingan Sydney, Liner Released Within Single Week From Time She Was Lifted FIERCE ATLANTIC GALE Teutonic Brought Several Delegates From Great Britain for W.C.T.U. Conference at Brooklyn The C.P.R. liner Mount Temple was released from the floating ship dock at' Maisonneuve at about 1 p.m. yesterday, a week, almost to the hour, eiice she was docked.

During that time, the liner's injuries haVe been tpeirma.ne.nyv repaired, and that in spite ft a certain shortage of labor which retarded her release by quite two days. After leaving the dry dock, the Mount Temple came back to her pier and berthed at shed 7, the Monte- zuma backing to shed 9 to make room for her. Her cargo will now be shipped again on the Mount Temple, as quickly as possible, to allow of her resuming the voyage to and Antwerp which was interrupted, within the first hour of its commencement, by the mishap which caused her to jstrand on the mud-banks off Lon-gueuil. As the Mount Temple stranded on September 24, and was not docked until the 5th it has taken considerably less time to repair her injuries than it took to refloat her and discharge her heavy cargo, which included over 120,000 bushels of eriain. GALES ON ATLANTIC.

Reports of the i-ale whiih fanjjd the flames that j-T'yed the doom-d Volturno were when th. Teutonic arrived here on Saturday night, and after the Royal George had berthed uiy yesterday For two 'Ays fcoth these fast liners drove through a gale which was -accompanied by heavy seas, but which iaiiea to diminish their excentional speed. The estimated velocity of the wind was about 50 miles an hour and Bunie. ueiay- may pe expected to-nave J-l been caused to" other inward bound vessels. 't TEUTONIC'S FAST TRIP.

The White Star linen Teutonic put "up an unusually fast time from on the trip which concluded with her arrival in this-port on Saturday e-'ening. Fast times are expected from the Teutonic, but taking the state of the weather into account, her recent passage must be allowed to rank amtfng gkhe vessel's very best performances, "since she was first put on -the St. Lawrence route. She brought out 737 passengers, of whom 404 were in the cabin, and the remainder third class. Among the ciibin passengers were 31 delegates from Great Britain to the W.

T. U. conference which is to be held at Brooklyn, N. Y. ROYAL GEORGE RETARDED.

A slight mishap to her steering gear prevented, the- e-r -Jnv-r- liner Roya George from emulating the Teutonic's performance. The Royal George was catching up to the Teutonic when something went amiss with her steering gear, while coming up the lower river. trouble was easily 'on- the linef's arrival at Quebec, but-the time lost prevented her making this port -on Saturday evening, as she would otherwise have done: The Royal George had close on 1,000 passengers this trip, of whom 85 were first, 300 second, and 550 third. Both the Royal George and her sister ship, the Royal Edward, are evidently increasing in popularity with the travelling public, as they are carrying many more passengers than was the case with either on most of their trips last year. OTHER ARRIVALS.

i Other arrivals yesterday were the Canada liner from. Hamburg, Bremen and Rotterdam and the Dominion liner Cornishman, from Bristol, the Willehad brough -780 third class passengers, as well as a large general cargo. This is expected to be the last visit to Montreal, this season. The Cornishman brought close on 1.5C0 tons of general cargo, fronr Bristol. MOVEMENTS IN FORT.

Pessimistic Feeling Due to Weakness of Stocks and Trust Legislation New York. October 11. The cotton market has remained very nervous and Demand at an opening advance of 9' to 14 points was readily supplied by further scattering liquidation and local selling which seemed to reflect a pessimistic -fueling in Wall Street owing 'to the weakness of stocks and a fear of radical trust legislation. The a advance abrcad was due to unfavorable weather reports which may obxtve. been somewhat exaggerated as mtnUoned heavy rains in -Oklahoma, of which no -trace in the official report' could be found.

There were rains in- Texas, however, with the official forecast for frost in the Texas Panhnndle and parts, of Oklahoma tonight. Open. High. Low. Closa Jan.
