The Government of the province of Quebec have decided to build a modern museum next spring on the Battlefields Park on a site facing the historic Plains of Abraham and in the rear of Wolfe's Monument, it was learned from Mr. J. A. Metayer, Deputy Minister of Public Works, this morning.

Plans for the building are at present being prepared by Mr. Wilfrid La-crolx, well-known local architect. The Battlefields Park, controlled by the Battlefields Commission, is federal property, but the museum will be erected by the provincial Government at the latter's expense and will remain entirely under the control of the province of Quebec, in virtue of a law which was passed in 1922 authorizing the Quebec Government to possess itself of the necessary property In any part of the province for this purpose, Mr. Metayer stated. No idea of the cost of the projected museum Is available pending approval by the Government of the plans now being prepared by Mr.
