Medicine Hat, Alta. URGES SCHOOL GUIDANCE 0. Savage Tells of Need for Full-time Counsellors The need for full-time guidance counsellors in the school was stressed by Charles Savage. MA, super visor of elementary schools of West-mount and principal of Westmount union High bchool, in his address to the opening meeting of the La- chine Home and School Association Thursday at the Lachine High ChO01. Mr.

Savage pointed out that guid ance counselling was at present carried on by school principals and teachers. Stating that it was important that full-time guidance counsellors be employed to carry on this work, he said that it re quired a vast amount of time to give and analyze standardized tests and to keep complete records. Communities needed to recognize, he said, that guidance counselling to worry.
