Westmoreland Grand Jurors to Consider Murder Wednesday GREENSBURG, Oct. 2 The Westmoreland county grand jury will be asked to indict a 15-year- old Moncssen boy on murder charge when the jury opens its October term next Wednesday. The defendant is John L. Dickerson, accused of fatally injuring an aged man last June 9. The victim, Newton Phillips, died of a head injury July 4.

MRS. GJEARHAHT Mrs. Sarah Ann Gearhart, 80 of Jones Mills, died at her horn at 8 P. M. Friday after a shor illness.

She was born October 23, 187 near Champion, the daughter the late George and Susan Lyon Hoop. She lived all her life i the Champion and Jones Mill communities. Mrs. Gearhart wa a member of the Calvary E. U.

Occena, secretary of the board of foreign" missions of the Presbyterian Church in the U. S. A. for Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, will speak at a public meeting of Redstone Presbytery at the First Presbyterian Church in Brownsville at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon. Mr.

Occena is the first person from an area outside of North America to hold a headquarters administrative post in the foreign service of the Presbyterian Church. Under the direction of Mrs. 0. Ray Martz the chorus of the Scottdale Joint Senior High School has oegun'practice for its Christmas cantata, "The Light of the World." The chorus is large this year and has greater, volume but lacks space in the senior high. This is a handicap as there cannot be an all-girl chorus and an all-boy chorus as in previous years. The group elected the following officers: President, Eugene Schmittle; Jim Tischke; secretary, Priscilla Strable, and treasuicr, Ranae Blackwell.
