But, it was learned that the same old cast Beigson, Crant, Lapointe and Sliwinski would be featured in the revised script if it is pressed into action. "We don intend to start shift ing our players around this late jn the day tfam offjcji)1 Mid Even if we did weed have a tough time finding any backs who could do better jobs than the ones we ve got now. He added: "The new tactics may not be used at all. It depends on how well we do with the old plays. Anyway, we're working on both brands in drills right now." The Ky Playtr Bergson figures to be the key-man in the Lakeshore offense no matter what manoeuvres are employed.

In four games at the throttle he has inspired the Baby Als to a position where they are confident they can upset the Shamcats. His attributes are the kind a coach dreams of finding in a player: He can kick the ball a country mile, take off with a burst of speed when there's an opening in the line and is the owner of a dandy passing arm. Bergson has been around foot ball longer than most of the boys in the league. But his talents have defied the age rule. He seems to improve as ne gets older.

Top Ground Gainers The other big guns in the Lake- shore backfield are fullback Tommy Grant and halves Hank Lapointe and Alf Sliwinski. Grant and Lapointe are boring inside runners while Sliwinski is at his best on end This trio contributed a great deal of the club's 15fl points scored during the regular season The figure compares to 97 points chalked up by Verdun. Further statistics support the theory that Lakeshore is an offensive power while the Shamcats excel defensively. The Baby Als have had 101 pom's scored against them and the Shamcats only 54. Yet the Shamcats ouensive output was sufficient to push them into first place witn an 8-3-1 record.

Lakeshore finished the schedule at 6-5-1. Sunday's game time has been advanced to 1.30 p.m. Convenor Harold Piatt, in announcing the change, said it was due to the advent Standard time in the area.
