The vaunted power of Vancouver Burrards broke loose at the Forum last night, and the result was devastating to Cornwall Seniors, who were buried under a 22-6 ecore and eliminated from the Maim Cup playdowns in two gamei. Winners of the first game by 17-8, the Coast champions swept to another easy victory, and now go cn to the Dominion final agair.it St Catharines, in a best three-out-ef-five series. which cpens in Toronto Monday night. Playing before "a small crowd of little over 1.000, the Burrards were more impressive last night than in taeir firt appearance against the Seniors. Their crisp passing attack Lterally ran Cornwall into the ground, while their defence again proved more than the easterners could cope with.

Covering their positions like demons, Burrards made the night practically a holiday lor Goaier "Walt Lee. In the first period, Lee had only four fhots from Cornwall, ar.d all of these got by him. In the second and third sessions he had but four hots to handle and in the closing frame was bothered or.lv five times. While this was going on, the Western champions bombarded Cornwall's goal practically at will and during the evening fired 43 shots at Coaler Ed Lauzon and his rehef, Jules Desrosiers. who took over in the closing period.

Cornwall gt off to a good start when Henry Payette tallied shortly after the one-minute mark and. although soon falling behind when Vancouver tallied three quick goals, the Seniors managed to stay close as the three shots they fired at Lee were good for goals. The Bombers held a 6-4 edge going into the second frame and when the Seniors tallied twice to square the issue, it looked as if the customers were in for a real show. Tnat spurt, however, ended Cornwall's scoring for the night and from there to the end of the show, the Cornwall goalers were almost sun-burned from the red light which flashed up 16 straight markers for the visiting Bombers. Towards the end of the game, things were enlivened somewhat when Seniors carried their sticks hsgh and bodied the Burrards hard.

Pat Theal sufferea a bad gash over his right eye. which required five stitches, when he tried to crasn the Cornwall defence. A penalty shot was awarded and Bo Bradford made it good. Policeman Bill Morphitt. who raced the Burrard attack In the first game, again was on top of the scoring heap with Br Bradford.

Each had four goals. Don Mathe-s-tn picked up three goals for his right's work, while brothers Roy and Johnny Cavallin and Theal all shot horn" two markers. Henry Payette a sain stood out as Cornwall's, best player, picking up two g-als and an while little Jock Dalbec came through with a goal and an assist. Coach Les Dickinson was highly pleased with the performance of his team. The tall mentor said that he thinks his team can take St Catharines.

"We saw the Athletics play when they were in the Dominion finals against Westminster Adanacs last year, and they haven't charged much since then." Cornwall felt disappointed over their drubbing, but to a man they greed they were whipped by a better club. Playing-coach Jock Dalbec said tough, but we wish the Burrards luck against the Athletics." Manager Eddie Irvine, of the Coast club, remarked on how well the club has been treated during its stay here. The team will be the guests of the Montreal Football Club today in the opening of the Four schedule against at Molson Stadium, and will lave tomorrow morning for Toronto. The teams.
