Receives Gifts GEORGETOWN, Tex. Southwestern University recently announced Rifts and grants totaling $1,350,000 from the Brown Foundation of Houston. Included are a double matching grant of $500,000 for permanent improvements and three professorships of $250,000 each for the Herman Brown professorship in English, the Margarett Rott Brown professorship of fine arts, and the Lily Nelson Pratt professorship in science.

The Brown foundation, a philanthropic corporation, was endowed by Mr. and Mrs, George R. Brown and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Brown of Houston.

69, wife of H. A. Roloff. died in Memorial Hos' pital Wednesday night. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.

m. from the First Baptist church with burial in the Dawson cemetei-y. The rites will be conducted by a stepson, Rev. Lester Roloff, Baptist minister of Corpus Christi, and Rev. Dan Taylor, pastor.

Mrs. Roloff was a life-long Dawson resident. Surviving are her husband af Dawson: two daughters, Mrs A. T. York, Waco, and Mrs.

T. L. Kupper, Big Spring; two sons, Tommy Roundtree, Sweetwater, and Joe Roundtree, Pasadena. Texas; three brothers, Don Fread, Corpus Christi; Homer Fread, McAllen, and Ralleigh Fread, San Angelo; a sister, Mrs. Emma Maddox, Dallas; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and other relatives.

The Home-coming will be in conjunction with the Godley-Dawson football game. Mr. and Mrs. Aimer Renfro visited in Mart Sunday. Mrs.

Reynolds Of Waco Dies HUBBARD. Sept. 26 Mrs. Birdie Mae Reynolds, 76, native of Navarro county, died at her home in Waco Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services were held in Waco Thursday afternoon with burial in the Hubbard cemetery.

Surviving are six daughters, four sons, two sisters, 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grand children. Schultz Of Hubbard Dies HUBBARD, Sept. 26 W. C. Schultz, 83, long-time Hill county resident, died at his home here Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m from the Eubank Funeral Chapel with burial in the Yates cemetery near Hillsboro.

He was a retired mechanic. Surviving are his wife of Hubbard; seven sons, two daughters, two sisters, a brother, 18 grandchildren and 17 grandchildren.
