A crew of CBS reporters will be headed by Charles Collingwood. Robert Trout will also be on hand to report principally for CBS-Radio, whose live l-eports are scheduled to begin at 5 A.M. NBC-Radio hits the air at 7 A.M. and plans wrap-ups at 2 P.M. and 9 P.

M. Portions of two Telstar passes will be used. One, at 8:09 A.M., will occur during a part of the funeral ceremony. Another pass, at 1 P.M., will be employed for taped highlights of the day's events, it was announced by CBS News chief Fred Friendly. ABC has not yet revealed Its plans.

Limit on Telstar Reports of events preceding the funeral may also be presented during the week. In addition to Saturday's Telstar passes, has given the networks permission to use the satellite one more time on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The limit was imposed because Telstar's batteries are weak. CBS News, this month's satellite coordinator for the three TV networks, will make the Telstar transmissions available to the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. as well as to NBC and ABC.

Both the Tuesday and Thursday installments of ABC-TV's Peyton Place failed to make the top 20 bracket in the latest Nielsen ratings, coving a two-week period ending Jan. 10. It's the first time the nighttime soap opera has missed the mark. The Nielsen ratings show Bonanza is still the top-rated show in the nation. Comer Pyle, starring Jim Nabors, ha3 zoomed to second spot; Red Skelton ha3 climbed to third, and Bewitched, with Elizabeth Montgomery, has dropped to fourth position.

In over-all averages, CBS. with 19.8, maintained its slight edge over ABC and NBC, who tied with 19.5. Jack Benny may do some spe III 4 Elicitijn tcriJ. 1:31 I Ojr HI si Bmkl. 4 Crlit Cup'n Classics.
