EUGENE TRACZYK Eugeniusz "Eugene" Traczyk, 80, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 in his homeland of Poland.

He was born June 1, 1935. Eugene came to the United States in 1965 with his family to establish a better life for them. He worked at Inland Steel in Indiana for 31 years. Shortly after retiring, he moved to Las Vegas with his wife, Jadwiga "Harriet." Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet. He is survived by his sons: John (Glory) and Danny (Leeann); his granddaughters: Tara, Tina (Matt) and Kim.

Eugene was a loving father and grandfather and he will be missed by all. His happy spirit, kind heart and generosity was felt by all who came in contact with him. Services and burial will be held in Poland. CONNIE J. TRUMAN CROWN POINT, IN Connie J.

SULEK (NEE WILLIAMS) HEBRON, IN Mary J. Sulek (nee Williams), age 79, of Hebron, IN formerly of Schererville, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015.

SALINAS GARY, IN Edward R. Salinas, age 82, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, IN. He was born October 13, 1933 in Donna, TX. Preceded in death by his wife, Elena H.

Salinas; and parents: Guadalupe and Rosa Salinas. PERA VALPARAISO, IN Patricia F. Pera, 88, of Valparaiso, Indiana formerly of Gary, Indiana and Fennville, Michigan passed away November 24, 2015. She was born April 4, 1927 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to: Raymond and Beulah (Carpenter) Fisher. She received her Associates Degree of Nursing from Indiana University Northwest and a Bachelors Degree of Nursing from the University of St. Francis.

She engaged in a nursing career for over thirty years, being employed at Gary Methodist Hospital and Holland Hospital in Holland Michigan. Patricia had been a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Gary, All Saints Episcopal Church in Saugatuck, Michigan, where she proudly served as Parish Nurse, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Valparaiso.She served as Executive Director of the Gary YWCA and freely gave of her time and talent as a volunteer to many charities in Northwest Indiana and the Saugatuck, Michigan area. On November 24, 1948 she married, Norman J. Pera who preceded her in death in 2006.

Survivors include their sons: David (Jonni) Pera of Valparaiso, John Pera of Crown Point, Timothy (Kathleen) Pera of St. Paul, MN, Mark (Leslie) Pera of Chicago, IL, Thomas Pera (Beatrice) of Cary, NC, 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. CROWN POINT, IN Walter Roy Quanstrom, age 95, of Crown Point, formerly of Olathe, KS and Gary, passed away November 23, 2015. He was a graduate of Horace Mann High School, Class of 1938. Walter joined the Standard Oil Company (Indiana), was drafted into the U.S.

Army, and served under General MacArthur as a sergeant in the military police. After returning from the service, he was employed by Amoco Oil in Whiting, IN, Sugar Creek, MO, Neodesha, KS, Salt Lake City, UT, and retired after 40 years of service from the company in Kansas City, MO. Walter was also a lifelong member of The Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Neita; brother, Robert; sister, Marjorie Tanner. Walter is survived by his children: Walter Quanstrom, Jr.

TWILLA PORTAGE, IN Louise C. Twilla, age 81 of Portage, IN passed away November 26th, 2015. She was born on November 25th, 1934 in Dyersburg, TN to Elmer and Hazel (Benefield) Carson who preceded her in death. Louise is survived by her sons: Douglas (Diana) Twilla, and Nathan (Debbie) Twilla of Portage; grandchildren: Abigail (Chet) Hipskind, Brad (Piper) Twilla, and Ryan (Cortnie) Twilla; and six great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family, travelling, and was an avid Bridge player.
