Shortly after retiring, he moved to Las Vegas with his wife, Jadwiga "Harriet." Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet. PERA VALPARAISO, IN Patricia F. Pera, 88, of Valparaiso, Indiana formerly of Gary, Indiana and Fennville, Michigan passed away November 24, 2015. She was born April 4, 1927 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to: Raymond and Beulah (Carpenter) Fisher. She received her Associates Degree of Nursing from Indiana University Northwest and a Bachelors Degree of Nursing from the University of St. Francis.

She engaged in a nursing career for over thirty years, being employed at Gary Methodist Hospital and Holland Hospital in Holland Michigan. Patricia had been a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Gary, All Saints Episcopal Church in Saugatuck, Michigan, where she proudly served as Parish Nurse, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Valparaiso.She served as Executive Director of the Gary YWCA and freely gave of her time and talent as a volunteer to many charities in Northwest Indiana and the Saugatuck, Michigan area. On November 24, 1948 she married, Norman J. Pera who preceded her in death in 2006.
