A. Mucomber, who lies very dangerously ill there at her home. The country around Stone is producing a goodly number of marriages this winter, more than her share. We have another one to chronicle this week, it being the marriage of Mr. Lincoln Meyers, son of Abram Meyers, to Miss Ada Poly.

The newly married couple will rfeide on the t.irm of Mr. Meyers' father, who has j'ist moved town, the ceremony taking place Thursday. We hear a charivari was pla ined for Saturday night and suppose it was car- out according to program. Mr. N.

Per announcement in the paper a certain day of last week was set to bring contributed grain to the car in town to be sent to Mr. Wm. Smith, of South Dakotr. Mr. J.

M. Uolder, who took down a load of grain, says he was the only person there; not even those In charge of it were present. At the business meeting of the W. 0, T. U.

Friday It was decided to hold a literary entertainment nt the church two weeks from tomorrow night, Feb. 20, Tne committee will use every effort to make It a first class affair and will charge the nominal amount of 15 cents admission far adults and 10 cents for children. full house should greet them. Whereas the Orange of Montmorency, has ceased to exist for several yeats and had a good library which seems to hive been quite forgotten by most of its old members, It has been suggested by a few of them that the W. C. T. U. extend an Invitation to the Grange to call a meeting and donate said library to the Union which in addition to the one already in possession of will be of vast Interest, and the books turned to good account, and consequently the Union authorizes Its secretary to ex tend them the Invitation written above.

There are many public sales throughout the community. It seems that the farmers of Prairieville are not the grasping, covetous sort, who live to accumulate wealth. lUvid Hill and family arrived from Maryland last Thursday evening. He has rented a farm near Round Grove. Mr. Hill a former resident of this place. He moved to Maryland two years ago this spring.
