6 FRIDAY, APRIL 24, 1981 NEWS RECORD obituaries Eleanor Conley, John Harlow, Wexford House Ross Margaret Scotti, Charles Gebert, West View Shaler Eleanor Gassenschmidt Conley, 88, formerly of Ben Avon, died Wednesday, April 22, 1981, in the Wexford House. She was a retired Joseph Home Co. employee and was a former part-time director of the North Side Community House. Mrs. Conley was the wife of the late Patrick L.

Conley. She is survived by four-children, Jane Harriet Richard and Glenn Conley, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Lester C.

McDonald Funeral Home, 529 California Avalon, where services John Raymond Harlow, Ross, died Monday, April 20, 1981, in his home. He was a retired WWSW radio engineer. Mr. Harlow was the husband of the late Martha Rhea Harlow. He is survived by a daughter, Janet McGough, and two grandchildren.

Friends were received at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home. 1032 Perry Highway, Ross, where private services were held Wednesday. Burial was in Mount Royal Cemetery. Sarah Harlocher.

Margaret Imperata Scotti, 72, of West View, died Wednesday, April 22, 1981, in West View. She was the wife of the late Amato Scotti. Mrs. Scotti is survived by three children, Betty Fedell, Henry Scotti and Marie Kern; three sisters, Rose Timperip, Jennie Shemaka and Lena Flimeck; two brothers, Frank and Henry Imperata, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Florence Scott.

Esther Gruber, Rudolph Brill, Ross Rudolph J. Brill, of Ross, died Thursday, April 23, 1981, in Suburban General Hospital, Bellevue. He was a retired roofer. Mr. Brill is survived by cousins.

Members of the Ben Avon Recreation Board (BARB) have their eyes on a vacant parcel off Spruce Run Road, owned by the county and the Avonworth School District.

BARB wants to find an alternative athletic field since the school district is currently trying to sell the Emsworth field, located on Ohio River Boulevard near the Ben Avon border. Borough council last week asked its solicitor to draw up the necessary papers, asking the district and the county to relinquish the property so it could be developed into a recreational field.
