Brewery files Chapter 11 Montana Beverages Ltd. stockholders filed for Chapter 11 protection Friday, in part to prevent a public auction of the company's property. The company's inability to generate revenue to pay overdue taxes and a pending lawsuit led to the decision on Thursday, said company president Bruce DeRosier. The company will continue to brew its award-winning Kessler beers.

In seeking Chapter 11 protection under the federal bankruptcy laws, Montana Beverages seeks an order freeing it from the threat of creditors' lawsuits until it can develop a plan to put its finances in order. Montana Beverages owes Lewis and Clark County $35,731 in outstanding property taxes, and it also owes the state $4,000 in 1991 income taxes, court documents indicate. Minister found in Wyoming A minister who disappeared from Polebridge under mysterious circumstances was jailed in Douglas, after a disturbance at a coffee shop. The disturbance occurred when the man's wife confronted him. 1 Flathead County sheriffs detective Pat Walsh said Wyoming authorities jailed Bo Tanner, whose real identity is Eddy D.

Ridlehover for giving false information to officers. Tanner gave a false name but his wife provided authorities with his real identity, Walsh said. He said Debbie Tanner, now a Washington resident, had tracked her husband to Wyoming. Tanner vanished from his Polebridge home in September 1990. Last year, Jeff Kommers of Bozeman and Jennifer DeVoe of Helena won first-team honors. Wright was named to the second team last year.
