Thomas Benkovic, having graduated from the commercial course of Steelton High School, hopes to soon find employment with a local business house. Helen re sides at 446 South Second street. Joseph Benkovic, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benkovic, 225 Myers street, says he will go to work anytime, anywhere on a good stenographic job.

Joseph has always stood high in all his subjects, especially nis tary. In his third year he was a member of Student Council, Most Distinguished Robert A. Black, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert R.

Black, 350 Spruce street, is nrobably the most dis tinguished student of this year's graduating class. Canning, 554 North Third street, is an accomplished He has mastered the piano, piano accordion and the clar lnet. At one time he was leader of a seven piece jazz orchestra which naa regular engagements during tne summers. Paul played in the High School Band and Orchestra in his senior year, besides having a lead ing part in the operetta, "Bits o' Blarney." But for his life's work, Paul has not chosen music. In his final year he was a member of the school news paper and year book staffs, took a leading part in the Senior Class Play and school operetta. Another stenographer will be found in Melissa Dimeff, daughter she specialized in commercial sub Jects. Plans Business Course Next all will find Ruth Eckels off to college in Massachusetts. She will take up a business course at the La gane seminary in Auburndale. she is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs, Ralph C. Eckels, I North Harris burg street. During the four years RUth attended Steelton High School, she was a member of the Girls' Glee Club. She was in the school oper ettas in her second and third years and as a Senior belonged to the staffs of both "Steel Points" and the "ingot." She was also property man ager of the Senior Class Plav, Ruth's father is a member of the steelton School Board John W. Fields, son of Mr.

and Mrs. John A. Fields, 416 Swatara street, will enter Lebanon Valley college next September. He has chosen as his career engineering, John was cheer leader in his Sopho more year. Holds State Record One of the finest colored boys ever to be granduated from Steelton High School is Randolph Frye, who resiaes wiiii mi, Henry lioiiana, ozi Lincoln street.

RandolDh has com pieted a curriculum of classical sub jects and is expecting to attend Lincoln University next September. After completing his education there Randolph will adopt a law career. Randolph is as good an athlete as he is student, and holds the high school record for the high jump in the State of Pennsylvania for 1930 and 1931. He also won his varsity letter in football in his senior year Alfretta Funk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Chester Funk, 729 North Second street, wants to become a stenographer or private secretary. Alfretta was a member of Student Council in her freshman year. Lewis Gittlen. son of N. Gittlen.

502 South Fourth street, having graduated from the commercial de 1 One of the greatest accomplishments of each senior class of Steelton High School is the production of a play in honor of the Junior Class. Before an overcrowded audience, on Friday night, March 13, the Senior Class of 1931 presented' "Bab," a play by Mary Roberts Rhinehart. The complete cast was as follows: "Bab" Archibald, Fae Clouser; James Archibald; Robert Black; Clara Archibald, Phyllis Trush; Leila Archibald, Marian Hoffman; Carter Brooks, Roy Prowell; Clinton Beresford, Harold Cramer; Jane Raleigh, Nancy Reed; Eddie Perkins, Budd Darr; Harold Valentine, William Stefanic; Hannah, Kathryn Bohl; William, Charles, Leader. Ruth Eckels served as property manager. The play was directed by Mr.

Has Best Personality The Senior Class voted that Dor othy Grove has the best personality of all those in her class. She is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Victor R. Grove, 166 North Second street. In her junior year Dorothy was in the Girls' Glee Club and school op eretta. This year she was Senior Class Festival chairman, business manager of "Steel Points," a mem ber of the "Ingot" staff and was a cheer leader.

Dorothy, belonged to Student Council for the past three years. She wants to be a stenographer "for a few years." Gladys Hartman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hartmcn, 25 South Second street, wants to be another pretty stenographer." She has com pleted the commercial course of Steelton High School. Frank Hoffman, basketball cap ain of 1930 1931 is going to attend Rider Business College.

Frank won two varsity letters in basketball and one in football. Besides this he played four years In the High School Orchestra and was chairman of the Senior Junior Prom in his junior year. Frank wants to become a fin ancier some day. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Charles Hoffman, 373 Myers street. Marian Hoffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clark D. Hoffman, 150 Lincoln street, was selected as the snappiest person in her class.

Her profession will be stenography. While in High School she was a member of the Glee Club for four years and took part in three school operettas. She had a part in the Senior Class Play, "Bab," and was a member of the staffs of "Steel Points" and the "Ingot." She was also a cheer leader in her Senior term. Curtis Hubbard, another colored boy, who lives with nis mower, Mary Hubbard, 141 Adams street, has decided to become an auto me chanic. He studied the scientific course in High School.

Curtis has earned three track letters and one varsity football letter. Captain and President The captain of the 1930 football team and president of his class is Albert Intreiri, son of Nick Intreiri, 313 South Second street. Albert took up the scientific In view of the fact that he wishes to become a civil engineer. He will complete his education at Bucknell College and will enter there next fall. Al bert was three times elected to Stu dent Council in High School.

Lehman Kapp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos G. Kapp, 40 south Fourth street, will spend his summer as an employe of a chain stores company. Front row: Kathryn Bohl, Nancy He has taken the scientific course in High School and hopes to go to school the year after next.

Leh man wants to become a civil engi neer. He was a member of the High School Band and Orchestra three years. Ronald Keim, son of Mr. and Mrs J. Earl Keim, 147 Lincoln street, is an interesting personage.

He belongs to Tom Schaeffer's Orchestra and works as a fireman at the Bethlehem Steel Company. He took the scientific course and hopes to go to college in two years. He wants to be an instrumental instructor. Ron aid played in the High School Band and Orchestra every year he was in high school. He received four track letters, and was, in his senior year captain of the track team.

His class chose him as its vice president. Ronald also was a member of "Steel Points" and the "Ingot" staffs. Florence Keys, daughter of Mrs. Hattie Keys, 341 Lincoln street," will attend Howard University in the District of Columbia. She wants to become a high school teacher.

Flor ence took up the classical course in High School. Another classical student is War ren Kingsbury, son of Dr. O. J. Kingsbury, 256 North Front street, Warren will attend Gettysburg College next September.

He was a member of the High School Band and Orchestra four years. Anna Kitanoff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kitanoff, 440 Fred erick street, has completed her com mercial studies at Steelton High School and hopes to secure a posi tion soon as a stenographer or secre tary. Arvilla Kniley will go to work as a stenographer as soon as possible.

Later she wants to attend a busi ness school. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kniley, 40 South Harrisburg street. While in High School she played in the orchestra four years, was a member of the Girls' Glee Club the same number of years.

She also appeared in two school operettas. Caroline Knuth, having graduated from Steelton High School, will seek employment in an office. She is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Knuth, 36 North Second street.

Would Become Financier Charles Kocevar is planning to take up a business course at Mer cersburg Academy and later to attend a college. He wants to become a financier. Charlis earned varsity letters in football and basketball in his senior year. He is the son of Mrs. Annie Kocevar, 405 South Second street.

Joseph Kostyal, who lives with Mrs. Annie Lomsedik, 755 South Front street, has graduated from Steelton High School and is going to become a draftsman. Joseph played a violin in the orchestra for four years and was also in the High Reed, Fae Clouser, Marian Hoffman, School Band in his junior and senior years. Stanley Krzyzosiak, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Frank Krzyzosiak, 522 Frederick street, has just completed the scientific course in Steelton High School and is now planning to become an electrician. Elva Lanza, is going to look for a good secretarial job. She took up the commercial course while attending School and Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis P.

Lanza, 165 South Front street. Charles Leader, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Leader, 24 Adams street, wants to become a patternmaker.

Charles was a student of the manual industrial course. Charles was in the Senior Class play, had a part in the school operetta in his junior year and played in the Steelton High School band the last two years of his high school career. In Norman Leipsitz we find another stenographer, for he has chosen office work as a means of livelihood. Norman is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Nathan Leipsitz, 636 South Fourth street. In Three Operettas Louise Lipp, another commercial' student, is the daughter of Mrs. Minnie Lipp, 766 North Second street. While in High School Louise belonged to the Girls' Glee Club each year and appeared in three school operettas. Louise was also on the staffs of both 'Steel Points' and the "Ingot." She says she will spend her summer looking for secretarial work.

Frank Luxl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Luxl, 2130 South Second street, will enter Columbia University next fall in the hopes of be coming a high school teacher. Frank has just completed the scientific course at Steelton High School. Harriet Manmiller, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Joseph Manmiller, 262 Myers Street, is going to become a stenographer. She has been quite successful in work in High School, especially in the commercial sub jects. William McElheny is going to work in the near future as a private secretary. He has passed success fully the commercial course offered in Steelton High School.

For the past two years William has spent his spare time as a soda jerker in Waidley's Drug Store. In his senior year William belonged to the busi ness staffs of "Steel Points" and the "Ingot." William is son of Mrs. Lucetta McElheny, 53 South Front street. Would Manage Team Milan Milakovic, son of Joseph Milakovic, 382 Myers Street, is looking for a stenographic job.
