Last fall the Tuttle was, passing through- the- narrow between -Jake Wolaey, an Inland lake on ManltouUn Island and Lake Huron, when she struck a swing bridge and did great damage thereto.

The government alleged that this was due to carelessness. Before they could take action the Tuttle had got Into American waters. She did not return until last Saturday, when she turned up again with a load of tar bea-k, and on the order of the crown attorney, who had It In tot her, the boat was arrested.
