LARRY A. WITT GRIFFITH, IN Larry A. Witt age 72 of Griffith, IN, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Shiella; children: Sherry Spinks, Larry A. (Christine) Witt grandchildren: Paige Spinks, Adam, Windy, and Mitchell Witt; siblings: Bill (Stella) Witt, Dora (Ed) Beard, Louis Mathis, Nancy Ward, Jake Witt, Douglas (Shelley) Witt, Sue Maggard; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Kermit and Eva Witt; and siblings: Patricia, Bruce Michael, and Ralph. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave. with Rev. Allen Williams officiating.

Burial will be private. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, November 30th, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at White Funeral Home Larry retired from Arcelor Mittal. He was a member of Griffith Assembly of God. Larry loved fishing, Nascar, and working in his yard.

He is survived by siblings: Raymond (late Yolanda) Salcedo, Frank (Barbara) Salcedo, Susan M. Cuevas, Theresa (late Ricardo) Arambula, and Richard (Nancy Rolls) Salcedo; special niece, Valentina (Scott) Dunston; special Santino R.

Garza and Scott C. Dunston; special nieces and nephews; Theresa's Gang: Ricardo, Edward, Cecilia, Monica, Jessee, and Roy. Preceded in death by his parents: Jesus and Esperanza Salcedo; sisters: Jesusita Godinez, Henrietta (Frank) Salazar, and Sally Salcedo. Charles served in the U.S. Army.

He was retired from U.S. Steel Gary Works and was a member of C.I.O. Local 1014. Friends may visit on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from p.m. at the Rendina Funeral Home 5100 Cleveland Merrillville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for a charity of their choice.

AVRIL C. KAISER FORMERLY OF MUNSTER, IN Avril C. Kaiser, age 90, formerly of Munster, IN, passed away on November 3, 2013, in Green Lake, WI. Avril was born in Newcastle, England on April 26, 1923, the daughter of John and Anne Cochrane. She immigrated to the United States with her parents in 1930, settling in Rochester, NY, where she graduated from Nazareth College with a degree in music.

She married Paul R. Kaiser in 1951, and settled a few years later in Northwest Indiana, where Paul had a long career as an administrator with Ancilla Domini Hospitals. Avril earned a degree in Education from DePaul University, and worked as an elementary schoolteacher until the mid-1970s, when she earned a certification and began a second career in the field of Medical Records. After her retirement in the mid-1980s, she served for over ten years as an office volunteer for Hospice of the Calumet Area. While becoming a naturalized U.S.

citizen, Avril retained an avid interest in all things English, following the exploits of the British royal family and of the characters on many PBS television series set in England. She also continued her piano playing, and bridge playing, she loved to cook, and was an avid reader. Except for five years in South Bend in the mid-1970s, Avril lived in Munster from 1960 until moving in 2012 to Ripon, WI to be near family. Avril is survived by her daughter, Maria Kaiser Dietrich, son-in-law Kurt Dietrich, and grandson Erik Dietrich of Ripon, WI; grandson, Paul Dietrich of Madison, WI; son, David Kaiser of Mons, Belgium; son, Jack Kaiser, daughter-in-law, Mary Kaiser, and grandchildren: Andrew and Erin Kaiser of Suwanee, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Anne Cochrane; and her husband, Paul R.
