I a a a a a a a a 1 1 Municipal Court WINONA Eugene Monahan, 20, Cummings pleaded guilty to a charge of indecent exposure. Judge John D. McGill sentenced Monahan to 60 days in the Winona County Jail and suspended the sentence for a period of 30 days on condition he seek help from the Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center, follow their prescribed treatment and make arrangements with the center to keep the court informed of his progress. McGill admonished Monahan that if he committed the same offense within the 30 day period the court would impose sentence immediately. Monahan was arrested at 4:41 p.m.

Bids Rejected At Wabasha WABASHA, Minn. All bids on the one-story with basement addition to the Wabasha County courthouse were rejected by the County Board of Commissioners at a special meeting Tuesday because they exceeded the estimate. The board, which will meet again next Tuesday, plans to call for new bids in about six weeks, according to James Carlson, Winona, the architect. The addition will be 70 by 112 feet and will house the welfare department now on the top floor of the present building, the probate court now on the first floor, and commissioner and coffee rooms. WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 22, 1969 Two-State Deaths Mrs. Minnie Burmeister Mrs. Minnie Burmeister, 89, Harmony, died this morning at 2 in the Green Lea Manor Rest Home, Mabel, following a 4 year illness. The former Minnie Miller, she was born Feb. 19, 1880 in Harmony Township to William and Minnie Miller and was married to Louie Burmeister June 22, 1905 at St.

Paul's Lutheran Church, Big Springs, where she was a member. Survivors are: One son, Vernon, and two daughters, Mrs. Perry (Mildred) Pederson and Mrs. Wiliard (Leona) Harmon, all of Harmony, and five grandchildren. Her husband, two daughters, four brothers and two sisters have died.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. St. Paul's Lutheran Church, The Rev. Gerald Brown officiating. Burial will be in Big Springs Cemetery.

Friends may call at Abraham Funeral Home here Friday afternoon and evening and until noon Saturday and then at the church after 1 p.m. Edgar Koesterman MONDOVI (Special) Edgar Koesterman, 64, Kenosha, died at a hospital there Tuesday after a short illness. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Koesterman, he was born at Martinsburg, April 16, 1905.

He married Laura Pritzkau 1932 and the couple farmed in the Gilmanton area from 1953 to 1960, then moved to Kenosha where they operated a grocery store. Survivors include his wife; one son, Charles, Mondovi; one daughter, Mrs. William (Doris) Davis, Kenosha; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Alfred, Lead, S.D., and two halfbrothers, Lyle and Roy, Larimore, N.D. Funeral sevices will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kjentvet Son Funeral Home, Mondovi, the Rev.

Norman Ruthenbeck of the Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Friday until time of services Saturday. HARMONY, Minn.

(Special) Otto S. Leque BLAIR, (Special) Funeral services for Otto Sanford Leque, 72, rural Hixton, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, rural Blair, the Rev. L. H.

Jacobson officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. He died Saturday at La Crosse Lutheran Hospital where he was a patient for several weeks. He was born May 6, 1897, to Ole and Mattia Hanson Leque, rural Ettrick. A veteran of World War he married former Hazel Thompson and the couple farmed in this area for many years. Survivors are: His wife; one daughter, Mrs.

James (Grace) Ericksmoen, Blair; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Christian, Galesville; Anton, Blair, and Tilman, Ettrick; and three sisters, Mrs. Louise Gunderson, Blair; Mrs. Andrew Sekse, Dixon, and Mrs. Leonard (Ella) Herreid, Auburn, Wash. Friends may call after 2.

p.m. Thursday at Frederixon-Jack Funeral Home, Blair, and at the church Friday from 12:30. Herman VanDermullen LA CRESCENT, Minn. Herman VanDermullen, 91, died Tuesday at 9 p.m. 'at the La Crescent Nursing Home following an illness of several months.

A retired farmer, he was born Sept. 25, 1878, on La Crescent Ridge to Claus and Mary Kramer VanDermullen. A lifelong area resident, he never married and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dakota. Survivors are: One half sister, Mrs. Mary Guenther, Beardsley, two sisters-inlaw, Mrs.

Frieda Miller, Yakima, and Mrs. Agnes Miller, Winona, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Watkowski Funeral Home, Winona, and at 2 at Holy Cross Church, Dakota, the Rev. Kuisle, La Crescent, officiating.

Tamke ARCADIA, Wis. (Special) Albert T. Tamke, 70, died at 8:30 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Hospital here after an illness of six weeks.

The son of August and Pauline Schoelman Tamke, he was born in Germany Nov. 10, 1898. He came to this country when he was 12 years old. He married Elsie Wolfe and they farmed in the Glencoe Ridge area until they retired in 1962. She died in 1965.

Survivors include one son, AL bert Arcadia; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Eileen) Stroinski, Winona, and Mrs. James (Evelyn) Lisonski, Fountain City; 12 grandchildren; three brothers, Reinhold, cadia; Ludwig, Fountain City, and Otto, Milwaukee, and three sisters, Mrs. Theodore (Atahlia) Eikamp, Cochrane; Mrs. Albert (Alvina) St.

Louis, Eau Claire, and Mrs. Louis (Ida) Zeller, Fountain City. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the American Lutheran Church, the Rev. Wayne Radke officiating.

Radke at 8. Allen J. Howard SPRING GROVE, Minn. (Special) Allen James Howard, 44, Spring Grove, died this morning at the Veterans Hospital, Minneapolis, after an illness of seven years. The son of Peter and Selma Skadson Howard, was born at Raub, N.D., Jan.

28, 1925. He lived in North Dakota until 1947 when he moved to this area. He married Betty Mae Lund at Black Hammer, June 1 18, 1949. The couple were engaged in farming in the Black Hammer area. He was a veteran of World War II, a member and a trustee of Faith Lutheran Church, Black Hammer, and a member of the Spring Grove American Legion.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Dale, a student at Winona State College, and Ronald and Wayne at home; one daughter, Michele, at home; his mother, Mrs. Selma Howard, rural Spring Grove; four brothers, Roland, Hutchinson, Willard, Minot N.D.; LaVerne, Minneapolis, and Duane, Fountain, six sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Charlotte) Geving, Parshall, N.D.; Mrs. Harley (Phyllis) Rodne, Bismarck, N.D.: Mrs. Nick (Verna) Romand, Minneapolis; Mrs.

Gordon (Amie) Rudie, Plasa, N.D.; Miss Olive Howard, Rochester, and Mrs. Richard (Lorraine) Dahlin, Rosewell, N.M. 1. His father, one sister and one brother have died. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.

Robert Wilson, 56, former Winona resident, died morning the Jennie Admundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa, after an illness of several months. The former Ruth McCarl, she was born in Eagle Lake, March 17, 1913, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W.

McCarl. She married T. Robert Wilson. She lived in Winona until 1945 when she moved to Iowa. Survivors include her husband: daughter, Mrs.

Robert (Barbara) Egbert, of Louisiana; one grandchild; one brother, Robert B. McCarl, Winona, and two sisters, Mrs. A. Drazkowski, Harvey. and Mrs.

Edward F. Pellowski, Winona. Funeral services will be at Bluffs, Iowa, Thursday afternoon. Burial will be at Lineville, Iowa, Friday. Mrs.

(Special) John Wolfe, 87, former Arcadia resident, died Tuesday at the Moulder Rest Home, West Salem, following an illness of several years. A retired farmer, he was born Dec. 12, 1881 in the Town of Cross, rural Fountain City, to Phillip and Agnes Ruhelmann Wolfe and married Anna Sauer.

They farmed in the Cortland area, rural Arcadia, and also resided at Bluff Siding. His wife died in 1967. Survivors are: One daughter, Mrs. Millard (Erna) Wettlauffer, Arcadia; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Ervin, Whitehall, and two sisters, Mrs. William (Dennie) Kube, Arcadia, and Mrs.

Frank (Orphie) Schmitt, Fountain City. Four sisters have died. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the American Lutheran Church here, the Rev. Wayne Radke officiating.

Obieglo, 54, Chicago, former resident of Winona and Arcadia, died in that city Monday. Funeral services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Modell Funeral Home, Chicago, followed by services at the St. Turibius Church. Burial will be in the Resurrection Cemetery in that city.

Mrs. Lawrence T. Bitzan Mrs. Lawrence T. Bitzan, 53, 660 W.

4th died Tuesday at 4:10 p.m, at Community Memorial Hospital following an illness of several months. The former Evaldine Drazkowski, she was born here March 30, 1916 to Leo and Stella Kleinschmidt Drazkowski and was married Oct. 4, 1946 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. A lifelong area resident, she was a member of St. Casimir's Catholic Church.

Survivors, are: John Her and husband; Jothree brothers, seph, Winona, and Leo, Paramount, and a sister, Mrs. Paul (Mary) Andrzejewski, Waseca, Minn. Funeral services will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. at Watkowski Funeral Home and at 9 at St. Casimir's, the Rt.

Tuesday at Community Memorial Hospital. She had been a resident of the Sauer Memorial Home the past three years. The former Clara Bunke, she was born in the Town of Hart, Winona County, June 24, 1886, the daughter of Ferdinand and Elizabeth Brandt Bunke. She married Julius Erdmann, Oct. 12, 1905, in the Town of Hart.

The couple lived in Winona County, than at Witoka, several years, and then moved to 460 Wilsie Winona, where they lived six years. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1955. He died in 1960. She was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Victor, Winona; seven daughters, Mrs. William (Linda) Lassen, Kellogg, Mrs. Ervin (Dorothy) Ebert, Mrs. Arthur (Stella) Block, Mrs. Elmer (Erna) Luedtke and Mrs.

Arthur (Ines) Voelker, Winona; Mrs. Austin (Ethel) Roberts, Newport, and Mrs. Donald (Delores) Tietz, South St. Paul; 31, grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Bunke, Winona, Werner Bunke, Rushford, and four sisters, Mrs. Reinard (Anna) South Dakota; Mrs.

Henry (Emma) Fabian, Frieda Albrecht and Mrs. Herman (Elizabeth) Schultz, Winona. One son, three brothers and one sister have died. Funeral sevices will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St.

Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev. A. L. Mennicke officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Lutheran Cemetery, Winona County.

Two-State Funerals Virgil C. Leque ETTRICK, Wis. (Special) Funeral services for Virgil Clayton Leque, 28, Sedalia, who was killed in an automobile accident in that city Oct. 12, were held at Sedalia Oct. 15, with burial there.

According to police reports, Leque's car was struck broadside by a delivery truck which ended up on top of the car about 165 feet from the point of impact, Leque was thrown and pronounced dead at the scene. He was born at Ettrick April 23, 1941, to the late Jens Arthur and Millie Leque. He married Patricia Buggs Oct. 17, 1959, at Fulton, Ill. Survivors are: His wife; two daughters, Patty, 7, and Thelma.

The general contract went to Peter Nelson Son, La Crosse, at the electrical to Clark Electric, Alma, at plumbing to Winona Plumbing $40,417, and heating and ventilating, also to Winona Plumbing at $9,563. C. J. Woychik Construction, Whitehall, bid $160,500 for the general construction contract. and Hovland Sheet Metal Eau Claire, $13,627 for heating and ventilating.
