Sixteen Hungerford Candidate For School Board Post William G. Hungerford, Sault Ste. Marie automobile dealer, today announced his candidacy (or the office of trustee for the Sault Sle. Marie public schools. Nominating petitions were being circulated today for Hungerford, who seeks the trusteeship being vacated by Gordon Malcolm, whose term expires Ibis year.

The election on June 10 is to elect a board member for one four year term. Hungerford a native of the Sault area, attended public schools here I and was graduated from Sault Ste. Marie high school in 1938. He has! been in newspaper advertising forj five years, being employed by The Evening News as a salesman, and later as advertising manager for newspapers in Mt. Pleasant, and Neenah, Wis.

He has been the owner of Hungerford Pontiac since 1953, and prior to that for a time was an automobile salesman. Hungerford served with the U. S. Army Signal Corps for nearly four 'years during World War II, and much of that time was in Europe.
