WOODRUFF WILL ADDRESS WOMEN Mrs. Pinchot to Be Guest of Honor at Intercounty Luncheon of Dauphin League The Attorney General of Pennsylvania, George W. Woodruff, has accepted the invitation of the Dauphin County League of Women Voters to address the intercounty luncheon of the Pennsylvania League Tuesday noon in the Penn Harris hotel. Announcement of the acceptance of the invitation by the Attorney General was made to day at the legislative headquarters of the League of Women Voters. 203 North Front street.

This lunchon will be one of the principal events in the program of the Dauphin County League, and Mrs. Gilford Pinchot is to be the guest of honor. Other than the Attorney General, the speakers will lie Dr. Ellen C. Potter.

State Commissioner of Public Welfare, and Mrs. Thomas Ross, of Doylestown, who will be the representative of the Domocratc members of the league. While the subject of the Attorney General's address has not been announced, it is assumed that he will speak on the general subject of law enforcement with reference to which Mr. Woodruff has decided views. It is expected that several hundred women from Hariisburg and Dauphin county and from Blair, Mifflin, Franklin, Cumberland.

Further steps to clear up United Evangelical and Evangelical congregations' affairs through the recent merger rejected by scores of United Evangelical congregations, were taken here yesterday changes in various boards and societies with regard to conference funds.

Mrs. Adam Saylor, of Lebanon, treasurer of the Women's Society, has transferred her allegiance to the Evangelical Church. As a result. Mrs. Charles Wagner, of Lehighton, has been named treasurer by the "holdouts." and, will receive their funds.

Mrs. Saylor will serve as treasurer for the "mer gerlte" societies. To take the place of others who joined the "merzeiites," Mrs. G. Weslev Varquardt, of Damror.

and Mrs. W. H. Hartzler, of Terrehill. have been named to other United Evangelical missionary positions.

The funds on hand involved in the charigo are about $25,000. Mrs. W. J. Gruhler, of German town, formerly United Evangelical, now heads the Evangelical General Missionary Conference Society throughout the country.

H. HOWE, PIONEER IN MOTION PICTURE ART ISDEAD AT 66 WUkeM Durre, Feb. 1. Lyman II. Howe, 06 years old, pioneer In the motion picture industry, died Tuesday in the Christian Science sanatorium, Boston, where he 'had been the last two months.

He was a native of this city and made his home town the headquarters of the Lyman Howe Moving Picture Company. Ho is credited by Thomas A. Kdlson of being one of the fathers of motion pictures, for 'he and the Orange wizard were interested in a klnetoscope that was used for throwing pictures on a screen.
