Turpin. W. H. Upchurch, County Agent and Ina A Stewart, Secretary, The meeting was in charge of C. Thomas of Pampa, who is a member of the State Committee.

Several important changes in the program were announced. Some of these changes which were not recommended by the local committee were considered necessary by the National AAA organization in Washington. Some are being made by the State Committee for Texas. One of the most important changes which has definitely been decided is a new rule in regard to overseeding wheat acreage. The county committee will have no choice in the matter of deductions from payments for overseeding. A graduated penalty will apply on all excess acreage regardless of the amount plowed up after measurements of seeded acreage are established The penalty will be ten times the per acre rate for each acre of overseeding A similar rule will apply lo parity Advance notice is being given to Randall county wheat growers because of the fact that this new rule will entirely wipe out the wheat 1 part of the payment for any farm which is found to be as much as 10 per cent overseeded Other changes in line with the i National Defense program will be I announced soon It is expected that an increase in feed crops will be encouraged Buffalo Squad Light But Fast W.
