Glascock said that TV stations which choose to air the commercials, should give equal, free time to White to address the economic situation in Arkansas. "We believe that this campaign is an attempt by the Bill Clinton campaign to circumvent campaign finance and reporting laws and that this committee is nothing more than a Bill Clinton Political Action Committee," Glascock said. He also said that the advertising firm handling the account is the same firm that has handled Clinton's re-election campaign. "If these spots are allowed to run they should be tagged as Bill Clinton re-election commercials and the names of those who contributed the $150,000 for this effort should be released," Glascock wrote.

"Your station has always maintained a neutral position in campaigns. The airing of these commercials would not be in the best interest of that posture." "We have been searching for ways to get consumers Involved at the grassroots level and trying to help promote the purchase of Arkansas products and American products in ways that would preserve jobs in our state without advocating protectionist policies," Clinton said. LITTLE ROCK (AP) A consultant for former Gov. Frank White wants television stations to dump an Arkansas promotional campaign that features Gov. Bill Clinton.

Darrell Glascock said that White is in total support of a "Buy Arkansas Campaign" but feels that the structure and use of Clin-ton as the chief spokesman is a blatant attempt to promote Clinton's re-election campaign. Clinton said Monday that a statewide television, newspaper and pamphlet campaign called "Make A Difference Arkansas," will cost about $150,000 and will be financed with private contributions. A "Good Work, Arkansas" campaigns has a budget of $32,000 in state tax dollars and will use stickers, labels and posters to identify Arkansas-made products in more than 750 stores statwide. The ads are to begin this week, halt Aug. 15 and then resume in November, organizers said.

Clinton stars in the series of TV ads with state products. Glascock, in a letter hand-delivered to all Little Rock television stations on Tuesday and mailed to all other TV stations in the state, asked that the commercials not be aired as long as they BUT 900 MILS5 AWAY, 04 A MIAMI AUDITORIUM, THE MORAL EQUIVALENT OF OUR. We need a strict and harsh law like God's law where a person is punished for their crime. Man's law is no law and stinks to high heaven. Can you imagine how our law enforcement feels when they work hard to solve crimes and see it all disappear when judges and lawyers let the scum go to repeat more crimes. We have the best law enforcement around in Baxter and Marion County and I'd love to see these men get the honor and respect for a job well done. If we had stiff punishment for offenders maybe the crime would let up as being soft and letting people go won't clean up the problem A murderer shuld be put to death not live on death row.

A thief should be punished harshly with a few years at hard labor not watching TV in a plush prison. Long, YeUville: For years I've been reading the court cases and it seems repeated offenders aren't put away behind bars but let go to keep up what they've been doing. You can give a person a second chance to change but after that throw the book at him. The reason repeated crimes go on is suspended sentences and small fines. A crook is a crook and should be punished.

The victims never get the satisfaction of seeing their man behind bars. In six years I've seen the same man caught for stealing over a dozen times and yet he gets a small fine and a pat on the butt and told to be a good boy. Our judicial system stinks when criminals are involved. Let a son miss one payment on something and the book is thrown at them or be late in paying IRS one day and here comes the judge. Whose side is our Judicial system on as It sure isn't helping the victims only the criminals.

How long do you have to turn the other cheek for the criminals? Now that we have bleeding hearts like ACLU, JDL and others kowtowing to the criminals, a person can rob, steal and even murder and get away with it Our laws used to be for the people and now it's all for the poor helpless criminal. Where do these scum of the earth come from to rob and steal from others. Every summer we have the kooks come out from under rocks to steal or take advantage of oth I hope some day all public places will ban smoking. be castrated and no ands, ifs, or buts about it. What happened to our judicial system as it sure isn't for the victims of crime but for the poor little babies who commit crimes and get a 2.

3, 4, 5, 6 chance and still won't change. Our law is too soft on criminals and they love it as they can do what they want and get away with it. It's long overdue for a crackdown and clean up of Baxter and Marion counties by putting the guilty behind bars where they belong. If I repeated myself I'm sorry, but a person gets fed up seeing the guilty go free all the time. i rA mm FURNITURE Child's swimming pool Maytag wringer washer Antique 3-mlrror dresser Antique dresser Old antique rocker 2 Church pews Window air conditioner Oak table 2 Roll-away beds Friends thank contributors AUCTIONEER'S NOTE: This will bt a large farm auction.

Everyday we see evidence of our lack of pride in our area.

We have one of the most picturesque and beautiful areas in the country, yet we seem determined to mess it up. Yes, I mean MESS. It's not unusual to be following a vehicle and have someone toss out empty beer cans, soda cans, paper cups, etc. Parking lots are becoming dumps for emptying ash trays, empty oil cans and paper products. Look at our roadsides fast food continers, cans, bottles, newspapers and so on are a much too common sight Public parks and recreation areas are also prime targets for litter.

It's not to late to turn this around. Please take trash home with you. Help keep our area clean and beautiful. Q) LA mm a 0 Stop 3lfe HtHflit (33im UGM 0 0 -m "Mfci 2 i ami) Keep your campsite clean. 11.
