Pul i zer-pri ze winning Green, author of the historical drama to be presented in the Pioneer Amphitheatre at Palo Duro Canyon this summer, received a standing ovation from the newly-selected cast as he was introduced by William Moore of WTSU drama department. Fortenberry Rites Held Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Calile Fern Fortenberry were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the First tist Church of Happy. Mrs.

Fortenberry', 79, died Monday, June 6, pital and Clinic where she had been a patient for 17 days. She had been a resident of Happy since when she moved there from Henrietta. Born August 24, 1886, Mrs. Fortenberry and her husband, the late Oliver I Fortenberry, were married at Leo, Tex. on November 7, 1904, She was bom at Strawberry Point, Ark.

and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Happy. Services were conducted by Rev. Irving Looney, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Happy, with Rev. W.G. Bill Burton, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Friona, assisting.

Interment was at Happy Cemetery under the direction of I aCrone Funeral Home of anvon. Serving as pallbearers were illard Middleton, SiG. Elliott, Eugene Sims, Morlan McManl- gal, John F. Toles, C.D. Taylor, Clovis Vernon and Clyde C.

The new production class leader is a Registered Holstein cow owned by Louis G. Hinders, Palo Duro Holstein Farm, Canyon. Breaking previous all-time state records is Palo Duro Raven Artis 5110520 (VG) with her new mild and butterfat records for Senior four-year-olds milked twice daily in both the 305-dav and 365-day divisions of the Dairy Herd Improvement Registry program. Her official 305-dav lactation totalled 25,640 lbs. of milk and 923 lbs.

The field trip to study pattern selection and materials was in preparationfor the dress revue, a county-wide project which is held in July. Judging will be July 6 and the Review will be July 7 according to Mrs. David Pulley, sponsor of the group. Attending were Patty Lovelady, Donna Maples, Rene Maples, and Debra Spring.
