Why This Bitterness Toward the So-Called Bible Students believe and accept ALL the Holy Scriptures and never interpret any portion of the Scriptures in a manner which does violence to other portions of the "Word of Truth." Is this the occasion for attack from these Christian Gentlemen? Each Bible Student has accepted Jesus as his personal Savior and by virtue of such acceptance has made a consecration of his time, talents and ALL to the service of the Great King. Is this why Christian Clergymen utter vitrolic, un-Christian sentiments against them? Bible Students are striving to "Do good unto all men" and to live consistent, Christian lives, providing all things honestly and decently as the Scriptures admonish. Is this the reason honorable Christian men speak eviily of them? "Forgetting the things that are behind, and reaching forward to the things that are before" Bible Students are earnestly striving, oftimes with many errors and failures, to become character copies of the meek and lowly is the greatest desire of their lives.

Is this why they should be criticized and belittled by Christian Gentlemen? Bible Students believe in the Creation, The Fall, The tion, The Resurrection and the Judgment as set forth in the Scriptures. Is this why Christian Men seek to stigmatize them? Bible Students believe and teach the pre-existence, humiliation, humanity, resurrection and Divinity of Jesus Christ and that He shall come to judge the "quick (living) and the dead." Should Christian Gentlemen show bitterness and chagrin because of this? Bible Students teach that "God is Love;" that His attributes are Wisdom, Justice, Love and Power, and they deny that He has purposed the everlasting torture of all but a mere handful of mankind. Are these sentiments such as to anger Christian Men? Bible Student Ministers ask and accept no money for telling the "Old, old story" of Salvation. They receive no salaries and in many cases pay all their own traveling and other expenses, es- teeming it a privilege to thus spend and be spent in the Master's service. Should Christian Men publicly or privately slander such unselfish service? Bible Students never "beg money for the Lord" because they do not find anywhere in the Scriptures where Christians are authorized so to do, and because they feel that it would be belittling to the Lord so to do.

Should Christians become embittered because of this? It is true that many Bible Students do give liberally, but no one even Bible Students, knows WHO gives nor HOW MUCH. No Collections are ever lif money is solicited in any manner either directly or indirectly. These things never enter into any service. There are no schemes or plans to raise salaries or pay debts for there are no salaries or debts, and yet there are always sufficient funds to carry on the work. Is this worthy of criticism? Does not this leave the field all the more open for Christian Gentlemen who take and urge collections? At Bible Students' Studies and Devotional services the Bible and the Bible only, Scriptural and Spiritual themes and ONLY such themes, are ever studied and discussed.

Should Bible Students be ostracised, criticized and slandered by Christian Clergymen because of th'is? "With charity for all and malice toward none" we urge all Christians to rise above such ignoble sentiment and religious intolerance. Let us endeavor to assist rather than hinder all who are with us in the "Narrow Way." Yours in the Service of OUR KING lisrt r.o faith in A fiiend urfrerl me, 1 it. the first.
