How Is that for Two Women Robbed At Lansing Saturday The ifirst hold-up and robbery in Lansing in many years took place Saturday night about 10 o'clock at the Mrs. Mattie Schierholz home on Front street, says the Lansing Journal, when this aged and estimable lady was bound, gagged, mistreated and abused, and (finally robbed of $60, contained in her small house-safe. With Mrs. Charley Markley.

she had been listening to the radio, and they were about to retire at that time, Mrs. 'Markley going to the bathroom upstairs. Thinking she heard a noise in Mrs. Schierholz's room, she stepped out to investigate and was confronted by a masked man with a gun. She gave a scream and darted back into the bathroom, hoping to escape by another door, but 'here she was met by the robber's young woman dressed as a man.
