Kiwanians Told Of Japanese Atrocities in China 'A tale of Japanese atrocities in China was told by Rev. Gillies Eadie, for many years a missionary and teacher in Honan Province, as he addressed Kiwanians at their luncheon in tht Chateau Laurier Friday.

"You are thinking of the situation in Europe, but there is a situation in the Far East you should not he said. Japan, seeking to establish a "new order" in the Orient, had forced missionaries to flee, closed hospitals, imprisoned Christians, financed bandits and revolutionists, mistreated Chinese women on a wholesale scale, and done everything possible to make the Chinese a race of drug addicts. The Japanese seemed to take a fiendish delight in torturing their victims. JCiwanians, who are supporting the Y.M.C.A. drive for funds to carry on its war work, saw moving pictures graphically illustrating what the association is doing lor Canadian troops overseas-pictures of huts, entertainments, games and tea trucks.
