The scholarships have been set aside for high school students who are taking part in the Urban League's youth incentives program, TOMORROW'S SCIENTISTS AND TECHNICIANS. Popularly known as TST, the program is designed to in crease the number of students entering the scientific and technical fields. The scholarships will be award ed to high school seniors entering the freshmen year, and to third year high school students who are eligible for the freshman class under the Early Admissions Program. To be eligible for either scholarship, the applicant must rank well in the upper third of his class. He must be a par 1 ticipant in the Urban League TST program, in any of the 63 communities in 32 states where there are local Urban Leagues must also meet the college entrance requirements.

Candidates for the scholarships are nominated by local Urban Leagues. TOMORROW'S SCIENTISTS AND TECHNICIANS was initiated last year. A national committee of educators and technicians is serving as advisors. A National iponsoring committee of individuals and organizations is supporting the program. The National Urban League is an interracial, educational service agency established in 1910 to further equal opportunity for Ne groes in employment, education, housing and social welfare.
