LOADINGS BACK "i TO HIGH MARK Report Filed Yesterday Shows Another Record For Heavy Traffic The record forx revenue freight loadings for 1926, was established In the week ending July 17, when 1,083,623 cars were moved, or an increase of 2,462 cars over the week ending March 29, the previous high record. July 17 was the eighth week this year that loadings have exceeded a million cars.

Compared with the preceding week thU year, the number of cars was an increase of 182,649 cars, due principally to the fact that the preceding week contained a holiday while the week of July, 17 did hot. It also was an Increase of 70,772 cars over the same week last year and an in crease of 152,913 cars over the corresponding week in 1924. Miscellaneous freight loading for the week of July 17 totaled 398,868 cars, an increase of 69,602 cars over the week before and 22, 842 cars" Over the same week in 1925. It also was 60,818 cars above the same week in 1924. Grairi Products Loading of grain and grain products amounted to 57,138 an increase of 13,410 cars over week before, and an increase of 13,235 cars Over the same week in 1925.

Comared with the same week In 1924, it also' was an in crease of 9,590 cars. In the Western districts alone, grain and grain products loading totaled 39, 871 cars, an increase of 12,377 cars over the corresponding week last year. Coal loading totaled 183,456 cars, an increase of 85,706 cars over the week before and 11,635 cars above the same week in 1925. It also was 36,783 cars above the same week In 1924. Loading of merchandise and less than carload freight amounted to 260,584 cars, an increase of 34, 217 above the week before and 6,639 cars above the same week in 1925, as well as 23,735 cars above the corresponding period in 1924.

RAILROADS ADOPT CONTROL DEVICES Washington, July 28. Ninety eight per cent. of. the work in connection with the Installation of control devices by the railroads of this country, in compliance with the first order of the Interstate Commerce Commission affecting 45 roads, has either, been actually completed ot is under way, accords ing to W. J.

Harahan, president of Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad and chairman general committee on automatic train control of association of Railway Executives. Up to July 1, 1926, out of 7,770 miles of track, train control devices were either in actual, operation or under construction on 7,503 miles of track. Thirty four roads, covering 5,841 miles of track, have the work entirely completed, except possibly the completion of the in stallation of apparatus on a few lo comotives. About 3,700 locomotives are involved in the first order. DIVISION TEAM PLAY AT TYRONE At Tyrone to morrow afternoon the Philadelphia Division baseball team will meet the Middle Division in the second game to decide ''the championship of the Eastern Pennsylvania Division.
