LAHM, Elizabeth age 85, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday.Fe-bruary 29, 2000 at Hospice of Dayton. Poin-dexter; 2 daughters, Clara Sue Owens, and Mary Jo Owens: 5 sons daugh CLAYTON Students from nearly 50 schools throughout the state are coming to the Northmont High School and middle school campus today to compete in North- mont's Invitational Science Olympiad. Science Olympiad is for students in grades seven to 12, where 15-person teams solve problems, answer questions and use their science knowledge to compete with other teams in 23 events. Some of the events involve building balsa wood bridges to support weight, identifying DYNES, Karen A.

age 46, of Seminole Arcanum died Thursday evening at her residence. She was born Sept 26, 1953 in Roswell, New Mexico. Mrs. Dynes had an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Cincinnati, formerly Working Eor Dr. Locke DDS and Dr.

Kilpinger DDS in Greenville. She was amemberofthe First United Methodist Church in Greenville, where she taught Vacation Bible School, served communion, and was a member of the arts and crafts and education committees. She was a member of the Arcanum TWIGS, and a volunteer for the Darke County Youth for Christ. Survived by her husband Craig Dynes whom she married June 9, 1979, her son Ryan and her daughter Mallory Dynes; parents Keith and Juva Jeanne (Condon) Schell of Englewood; and a sister Carrol L. Reynolds of Englewood.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, March 6, 2000 at the First United Methodist Church in Greenville with Rev. Duane Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Ab-bottsville Cemetery. Age 25, formerly of Huber Heights, was killed Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000 while stationed at Norfolk Naval base, VA He was born in Washington, DC on 6 November 1974. He first came to Ohio accompanying his father being assigned to WPAFB in 1992. He attended Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio from 1992 to May 1993. Petty Officer Floyd enlised in the Navy on 9 June 1997 as an Electronic Technician.

He was assigned to the naval destroyer USS CARON, Norfolk, VA He is survived by his son, Shelton Ramon Floyd; parents, CMSGT Kim Floyd, USAF, and Deborah T. Floyd; Sister, Dominique Wilson; Brother, AB Justin Floyd, USAF; his paternal grandfather; both maternal grandparents; a nephew and niece; and a host of uncles and aunts and friends. She was born in Cleveland, OH. She received her Bachelor Degree in Dietetics from Ursuline College for Women, and she served an internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F.

He graduated from Stivers High School and received an industrial engineering degree from General Motors Institute, now known as Kettering University, in 1932. He married Violet Florence Rieck in 1935. He received an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from the University of Dayton, Ohio in 1967. He spent all of his 48 working years with General Motors and was General Manager of Delco Moraine for 14 years before retiring in 1 973 His activities on behalf of community development were many. He was president of the United Fund, Dayton Philharmonic Association, and the Dayton Foreman's Club.

He was a member of the Engineers Club, Moraine Country Club, and First Baptist Church. He was chairman of the City Center Task Force, and helped bring about dramatic changes while revitalizing the downtown section of Dayton. He played a major role in making the Convention Center a reality. He was on many boards of directors, Including the United Fund, Junior Achievement, Miami Valley Hospital, University of Dayton, and the Board of Regents of General Motors Institute. He is survived by wife, Florence; sons Dr.

Don Gebbart and wife Barbara and Dr. Robert Gebhart and wife Leslie; grandchildren Courtney and Jared Chandler; Craig Gebhart; Laurel Gebhart; Kristi and Matt Doyle; Robert and Christi Gebhart; sister Ruth Carter, brothers Frances and Alb an Gebhart. GEORGE, Linda Lou (nee Ferryman) 52. died Tuesday, February 29, 2000, after a brief battle with cancer. She was a resident of West Chester, Ohio. Her love for Christ and desire to glorify God was evident in her love for her family, friends and concern for all. She was the loving daughter of the late Floyd Ferryman and Georgette DeSantis; and dear sister of the late Larry Ferryman. HOLMES, Mary Sue 49, of Xenia passed away Thursday evening March 2, 2000. She was bom in Xenia, Oct. 27, 1950 the daughter of George H. and Shirley (Stephens) Ferguson. She was a 1968 graduate of Xenia High School, 1972 graduate of Morehead University Morehead, KY.

and was employed by Apex Cooper Power Tools of Dayton, OH. for over 25 years. She is survived by her husband Elmer David Holmes and her parents of Xenia, step daughter Amy Holmes George of Clemson, South Carolina and sister Sharon Keller ofXenia. He was the recipient of Corinth's service award, Baptismal font was given in his honor by his wife and daughters. He was a graduate of Dry Ridge High School, alumnusofthe University of Kentucky, attended Graduate School of Engineering at Harvard and U.C.L.A A Fellow of Institute of Radio Engineers, registed Ohio professional Engineer, Senior member and past chairperson of RadioRadar section of NIEET and PCAP-NAECON. Former University of Kentucky Staff Engineer and Chief Engineer radio station WCMI, Ashland, KY, also a Kentucky Colonel. Retired from Wright Patterson A.F. Base in 1 975 after 35 years as a Senior Research Electronic Scientist, Communication and Navigation Laboratory.

She was 69years old. Neva was bomin Beloit, Kansas on January 22, 1931 to Fred and Geneva Thille. Throughout her life Neva held many Jobs, from Beech Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas to Sears Ad- -vertising, to Legal Editor at LEXIS-NEXIS in loving wife and mother, holding a great Catholic faith, and remains a shining example to those she left be- hind. In addition to her grieving husband and children, Neva is survived by her sister, Jane and grandchildren, Peter, Megan, Timothy, Andrea, Emily and Caitlin, as well as son-in-law, Michael Erker and daughters-in-law Beth Smith and Lori i Smith. Stafford of Beachwood, OH; 1 1 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grand- daughter. He passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2000, at Hospice of Dayton, after a lengthy illness. He was born August 10, 1928 in (Walker) Nock.

A graduate of Chaminade High School in 1946and Cedarville College in 1950, he served two years in the US Army and was stationed in Japan. He taught high school math at Ross Township, Stokes Township, Silvercreek Township, and Greeneview Schools retiring in 1980 after more than 30 years of service. He was also a coach, athletic director and bus driver. He was a member of St Augustine's Church in Jamestown, a member and past president of both the Greene County Retired Teacher's Association and the Ohio Retired Teacher's Association, a member and past president of the Jamestown Lions Club, a member of the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce and the Historical Society. He was very active in his church, community and local schools receiving many honors and awards.

The Greeneview High School football field was named the Don Nock Field in 1976. He was named the Southwest District Athletic Director of the year in 1979. He received the Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year award inl985andthe Lions Club Community Service Award. He served as the Silvercreek Township Clerk 1988 to 1996. In 1 998 he received the Dons Club International Melvin Jones Fellowship Award and the Linos Club International James T.

Coffey Fellowship Award in 1 999. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Rosemary (Elam), 3 children, Robert P. and wife Jonie of Jamestown, Mary Ann and Lee Miley of Beavercreek, Jane and Clancy Cross of Jamestown, 5 grandchildren, Andrew and Anna Nock, Jennifer, Heidi and Jordan Cross, one sister Mary Umina of Dayton and one brother Edward Nock of Bradenton, FL. Elliott will divide his time between Dayton and Cincinnati, according to Barb Compton-Keene, Think TV communications and promotions coordinator. "This is not a merger," she said.

"We are still going to operate as separate stations. We have collaborated with them (WCET 48) on some educational services projects, but this is the first time we have shared a resource as far as an employee is concerned." Elliott was senior vice president and station manager at the Cincinnati station; he will take on the responsibilities and title of vice president of broadcasting for the Think TV Network. In his expanded role, Elliott will oversee regional public television programming for all three stations: Channels 16 (WPTD), 14(WPTO)and Channel 48 (WCET). In a press release, David Fogarty, president and general manager of Think TV, and Wayne Godwin, president and general manager of WCET, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. "We're excited to continue growing our partnership with WCET and to have Scott on board," Fogarty said.

Elliott came to WCET in 1988 as senior vice president of development, having worked in public television and public radio in Buffalo, N.Y. Home.
