The is doing his preliminary stuff at the Shrewsbury Country club for his fifteen round titular affair with Dave Shade at Yankee stadium next Monday night. Ike Dorgan, the wise press purveyor, will chape rone the party, and from a few of the late bulletins it is evident there will ba nlentv of atmosphere attending tha pilgrimage At-a-boy, Ike, old stacking! Jack Kearns, who used to boss around a fighter by the name of Jack Dempsey, is in eESrge of Walker's camp, aided by the handsome Teddy Hayes, but that won't affect the party in the least. The boxing writers around this neck of woods are a good-natured set and can stand for almost anything. Dave Shade is Grupp'3 making ready for the fuss with the champ, and it is expected the gang will give Davey a few slants tomorrow. The betting still favors Walker to retain his title, but there is an awful lot of Shade money being tossed around.
