Fischer may quit Disaster training urged REYKJAVIK, Iceland (AP) Bobby Fischer Thursday was reported threatening to break off his world championship chess match with Boris Spassky unless all movie cameras are re-amoved from the playing haH. "It's quite serious. He may -not play at an," said a member yi Fischer's entourage who tasked not to be identified. Fischer was scheduled to -meet the world champion from -the Soviet Union later Thurs-Iday-at 1 p.m. EDT for the second game of their 24-game The American challen ger lost the first game Wednesday night.

Fischer staged a 30-minute walkout shortly after the play began Wednesday, complaining that a movie camera 150 feet away was making him nervous. The camera was hardly visible in the dimness outside the lighted players' circle, and it could not be heard by Fischer, but aides said the knowledge of its presence unnerved him. Chief referee Lothar Schmid of West Germany, who makes the decisions on all contested points in connection with the WASHINGTON (AP) The National Transportation Safety Board Thursday called for improved disaster training for local fire departments across the nation to avert potential disasters spawned by derailments of freight trains carrying explosive cargoes. The board made the recommendation in its report on the derailment of a freight carrying liquified petroleum gas near Crescent City, 111., in 1970. Sixty-six persons were injured and the entire city evacuated in the fire and subseqent explosions of the propane cars.

More injuries would have resulted if a state police sergeant had not warned the firemen of the potential dangers and begun evacuation of the farming community, the board said. "The injury of the firemen and spectators was due to the lack of appreciation by firemen of the large scope of fire and explosion which would occur in a fir of this type," the Board said. "If the first explosion had occurred before the state police sergeant had warned the firemen and before he had started evaucation of the town, many more could have been injured seriously." The board recommended the Department of Transportation study means to improve training of firemen on local departments "so that they can upgrade their skills in their handling of emergencies created by the increasing transportation of hazardous materials." Five of the 15 derailed cars of the Toledo, Peoria and Western Railroad freight train loaded with liquified petroleum exploded. THE wmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm emymmmtmrmmmmmmmmmmmiimm jr nrinnrro match, told Fischer during his walkout there was nothing he could do about the camera. Film and television rights for the match have been sold to an American promoter, and Fischer and Spassky are to get a share of the proceeds, estimated at a minimum of $27,500 each.

"It's up to Lothar Schmid whether Bobby plays," one of Fischer's advisers said today. Contacted at his hotel, Schmid said: "There will be a match tonight. If Fischer doesn't appear, he will take the consequences." A member of Fischer's camp said the "legal aspects are being studied." Richard Stein, a lawyer for the promoter who bought the TV and film rights, Chester Fox, said he was up all night with Fischer's second, the Rev. William Lombardy, and Fred Cramer of the U.S. Chess Federation.

Stein said that at one point Fischer walked in on the meeting, listened for a few minutes and then in a few sentences indicated he was adamant about expelling the cameras. Then he went to In agreement with Lombardy and Cramer, Stein wrote Fischer a letter at 5 o'clock this morning appealing to the challenger to accept the presence of the cameras and go on playing. "I hope the letter will move him." Stein said. Mrs. Dorothy Oliver refused to swap her Tide for two boxes of another leading detergent. Why? Because of the way Tide cleans her children's clothes. She says: "The younger ones are playing ball. And they've gotten wet afterwards, and it's dried-in dirt.

And I just throw it in with the rest of the dirty clothes and everything comes out clean."
