18 The Progress-Index, Petersburg-Colonial Heights, Thursday, May 26, 1960 Virginia Museum Plans Solute to War Centennial RICHMOND A salute to the Virginia Civil War Centennial will be offered next year by the Virginia Museum Theatre in Richmond. The May event is an authentic revival of one of the great dramatic hits, of the Civil War era, "The Six of Crime." The Museum Theatre will be transformed into a playhouse of the 1860's for the melodrama typical of a period in which the theatre allowed no shading between good and evil. The story depicts the falls of a pleasure seeking rouge into despair and degradation. Appropriate musical accompaniment and comments, by the "Black Parson" i point up the moral lessons to be learned from the play. The revival of Frederic S.

Hill's play is guaranteed to awe the young and delight the old. Theatre programs and appointments in the Theatre will reflect the style of the age. It will run May 24 through 31, 1961.
