The plot has Browder's Mitchell taking Black's shipment of supplies and money intended for needy Africans. 10:00 (NBC) "Law Older." The lineups won't be solid until next week, but there are already some clues to the corns are standing out, some may make the cut just to balance out a schedule.

In drama, CBS reportedly is hot on shows that, like ABC's "Brothers Sisters," feature huge, ensemble casts. Family drama "Los Duques" stars Jimmy Smits, Rita Moreno, Hector Elizondo, Lee Tergesen and Polly Walker, while supernatural drama "Babylon Fields" stars Amber Tamblyn, Kathy Baker, David Patrick Kelly and Jamey shows that may or may not make the cut. One series we'll definitely be seeing is "Action News," a sitcom about a TV anchor team, starring Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton. 4 i Shendan. NBC reportedly favors "The Bionic Woman," starring British actress Michelle Ryan, and "Lipstick Jungle," the new Candace Bushnell and the concept, starring Brooke Shields and Kim Raver.

Fox is bullish on sci-fi: "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" is a "Terminator" spinoff starring Lena Headey, and "Them" (aliens as sleeper-cell terrorists) stars Tricia Heifer from That's already got a series commitment from Fox and with those stars paired together, no wonder. Another, no doubt, is the "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff, "Private Practice," which "Grey's" fans just got to see as a special episode, putting Kate Walsh's Addison at center stage. One we probably won't see is "Cavemen," a proposed ABC sitcom spinoff of those GEICO commercials. An Ain't It Cool Web site contributor who saw the "Battlestar ABC is high on, among others, two upscale dramas, "Dirty Sexy Money" (Peter Krause, Jill Clay-burgh) and "Perfect Gentlemen" (Dylan McDer-mott, Joshua Malina), and a modern remake of "Marlowe," starring Jason O'Mara from "Men in Trees." CW supposedly favors two new dramas, one upscale the other supernatural entire pilot called it "jaw-dropping horrendous." In other hard-to-imagine network moves, I'm baffled by how CBS could name a sitcom "Fugly" and expect to suffer no backlash. It stars Nikki Cox from "Las Vegas" and Marissa Jaret Wi-nokur from the original Broadway show "Hair-spray" as identical twins, one of whom undergoes a major, expensive makeover.

'B rothers' satisfies trashy tastes America chews its fingernails this weekend to find out what we'll see on prime-time TV next fall, at least one good thing is certain: Our trashiest prime-time network drama will return. I ABC renewed Sunday night's "Brothers Sisters" several weeks ago, and the A -to I show celebrated just this past weekend by officially cementing its claim to the coveted "trashiest" title. It came around 10:50 p.m. Patricia Wet-tig (Holly) and Sally Field (Nora) were arguing, a residual consequence of the fact that for the last 20 years No Rebecca has already been flirting with the husband of one of her half-sisters, and after the food fight propelled Nora and Holly into a weird little temporary sisterhood, Holly confided to Nora that Rebecca just might be born trouble. We like the sound of that.

Until now, of course, the trashiest prime-time drama on network TV has been "Desperate Housewives." Remember the night Carlos and Gaby were destroying their house to spite each other and Carlos walked into the room firing up a chain-saw? But "Housewives" was designed as a satire of excess, so the trash feels almost ritualized. "Brothers Sisters" starts with a family that hangs out together all the time and blurts out embarrassing secrets to each other. It's a whole different kettle of trash. It's almost organic. The fact ABC renewed this show early sends very reassuring messages about both ABC's taste and ours.

And besides, Wettig and Field probably never had more fun in front of a camera. dhincfeleynydairynews.com ra's husband, William, was alive, he was seeing Holly on the side. Back in the show's very first episode, however, William plunged stone-cold dead into the family swimming pool. Since he'd also been cooking the books of the family business, he left some problems behind. Anyhow, Sunday night Nora smashed a Patricia Wettig (1.) and Sally Field belly-laugh after last Sunday's food-throwing scene.
