HARIUSBURG TELEGRAPH DECEMBER 26, 1925 3 DEAR MARIAN. YESTERDAY was such'a happy day that I can only express the' wish that your Christ mas, too, was the most joyous of your life. HE "completion of the day's pleasure was the beautiful party given the Hickok and Olmsted children by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross A.

Hickok and Mr. and Mrs. Vance C. McCormick. This event which is an annual party has become a part of our holiday life and one of the most delightful dances of the whole year.

THIS evening there are two dances. At the Harrisburg Country Club, there will be a large dance following a dinner at which several large parties are planned. Of Mariea "Baum's dance tonight at the Civic Club, I have already told you, as well as of the bridge party this afternoon by Lillian Bogar. ONE of the loveliest events of Christmas week will be the service of carols given by the Organists' Association at Zlon Lutheran Church, Monday night. In addition to organ numbers there will be choruses in which many of the best singers in the city will take part.

For the college and just out of college set, there will be, also on Monday night, an attractive dance at the Civic Club by the Undergraduate Club. George Speakmah is chairman and the dance will be well attended I know. PLOREN CE HAMILTON'S luncheon on Monday for Julia Smith, and the dance to be given Tuesday night by Miss Caroline Pearson and Miss Mary Harris Pearson for their nephews, the Pearson boys, will mean lots of fun for the younger set. The big dance of Tuesday is to be given by the University Club at the Masonic Temple. I For Wednesday, there is the Beechwood Alumnae Club luncheon and bridge at the Linden Tree Inn; the holiday dance given by Eleanor Delaney at the Knights of Columbus Hall; and the subscription danse to be given at the Harrisburg Country Club for the young people, although I heard to day that many of the younger married set will be present.

Before this dance there will be several dinner parties, among them" one at the clubhouse at which Mr. and Mrs. Henderson Gilbert will entertain for their daughter, Harriet Gilbert. THURSDAY, Old Year's Day. will bring two weddings.

Dorothy Whittaker who has been so very much entertained will be married to Statton L. Rice, Jr. at her home, and Miss Margaret Shilling and Clarence Smith will be married in Camp Curtln Methodist Church at 4 o'clock. For that same day. there will be a card party at the Linden Tree Inn given by Mrs.

C. Stewart Snoddy for Mrs? Edgar White who was formerly Miss Julia Swlier; and 'another card party given by Mrs. James N. Rule. In the evening, the Old Year will be danced away at the party to be given by Mr.

and Mrs. John Fox Weiss at the Civic Club for nieces, Christine Brandt, i Anna Brandt and Virginia Cahn. The same kind of festivities will I be held at the University Club where an informal "see the New Year ln" party is planned. PROBABLY the most important event of New Year's Day, Friday, will be the opening of the new home of the American I Legion Post at the house purchased recently from Mrs. Henry Stine.

i The Women's Auxiliary will assist at the party which will be indeed delightful. ON THE same evening Dorothy Bomberger and Mary Ed wards will entertain at a dance at the Civic Club, and at the Colonial Country Club there will be a dance for members and I their guests.
