Private detectives, employed to guard the child, frustrated the attempt and fired a volley of shots that drove off the intrud CIS. The entire winter colony here vas stirred as reports of the attempted kidnaping spread through the fashionable villas, and a Statewide hunt for the escaped men ha3 been started by local police.

AY BALM IK SURE "BILLY" SUNDAY RECALLS GAME HERE 30 YEARS AGO Recalls Old Comrades in Talk With Telegraph Sports Editor By WELLINGTON G. JOJfES "Play ball." "Billy" Sunday up. This happened thirty years ago when the now Rev. William Sunday, with the Chicago team played against Harrisburg on a field that stood one block off Third street, on part of the site now occupied by the Cameron School building. Old timers still remember how he, Mike Kelley, John Clarkson.

Frank Flynn. Pop Anson, and other real players cavorted about that ball field. Sunday was an outfielder, and he could hit and knew how to play the outfield. Billy Sunday was back in Harrisburg yesterday, and played two games. The first came off at Sixth Street United Brethren Church in the afternoou, and the second was played under electric lights at Fifth Street Methodist Church last evening.

In Two Games Here Both games were for religious victories and with Billy Sunday at the bat in each game, it was just like old times. Now the Rev. Wil liam Sunday is batting out facts with the 6ole objec of routing the devil, and according to results is meetinsr success. He talked to 4, 000 people in Harrisburg yesterday and last evening game was called in order to allow "pa" and "ma" Sunday to catch a train. Billy Sunday has only changed in years.

He was somewhat fa tigued for he had a six weeks' stren uous campaign "saving at Wllllamsport." Aided lath Amendment The Rev. Sunday claims to have been a big factor in bringing about the Eighteenth Amendment. In his sermon he told how liquor had been the downfall of many a good baseball player and athlete. and in a manner only possible by Billy Sunday, who is a good actor, gave a vivid description of the hor ible death of some of his former companions. $20 a Week The Rev.

Caldwell, of Monti cello, 111., a practicing physician for 47 years, it seemed cruel that so many constipated men, women, children, and particularly old folks, had to be kept constantly "stirred up" and half sick by taking cathartic pills, tablets, salts, calomel and nasty oils. While he knew that constipation was the cause of nearly all headaches, biliousness, indigestion and stomach misery, he did not believe that a sickening "purge" or "physic" every day or two was necessary. In Dr Caldwell's Syrup Pepsin he discovered a laxative which regulates the bowels.
