(PG-13) Hinton, who also produced and hosted the Almanac public affairs series, has left to start his own consulting firm but is still working for the station as a programming consultant. The station is looking for replacements for both Stanislawski and Hinton.

Hinton's departure, along with the resignation of Culture Shock producerhost Jane Hinders earlier this year, leaves the station with no continuing series on the air. Channel 16 spokesman Mike Jarvis said no special broadcasts are in production either, "But we're exploring programming related some women's health issues that's going to be a focus for PBS in 1994 and we're hoping to do the Excellence in Teaching Awards again in the spring." Fogarty and Stanislawski were unavailable for comment Monday. The station has hired five other employees and promoted two. Promotions went to Mark Anderson, named production coordinator, and George Hopstetter, appointed maintenance supervisor. By Tom Hopkins DAYTON DAILY NEWS WPTD-TV (Channel 16) is facing some big changes with the arrival of a new station manager and the departure of Mark Stanislawski, director of development and marketing, and program manager Rob Hinton.

Sandra A. Hardin has been hired as station managerdirector of broadcasting and telecommunications for Greater Dayton Public Television, licensee for the local station. The position had been held by David M. Fo-garty, who was named president and general manager of Greater Dayton in July succeeding Jerry Wareham. Hardin is a 15-year veteran of public broadcasting who most recently was a senior vice president and station manager for KVIE-TV in Sacramento, Calif.

Stanislawski has resigned to take a job at WHMT-TV and WHMX-TV, public TV stations in Schenectady and Albany, N.Y. He had been a candidate for Wareham's job.
