Acting Chore At 78 Boris Karloff Portrays Monster Again In Newest Terror Movie By EDDY GILMORE LONDON (AP) "I don't make horror films," said actor Boris Karloff. "Terror is a better word." Here to make still another Frankenstein, on television," he said, "and they show remarkable powers of perception. To them the poor old monster wasn't an evil, horrifying object, but a helpless, inarticulate chiller, the 78-year-old Karloff creature, forsaken and grossly denies the tag of the high priest misused by his creator. "I begged Mm to leave it out," said Karloff, "and the sequence was later removed." These sentiments come quite naturally to Boris Karloff, who is in reality a cultured Englishman, born to the gentle name of William Henry Pratt. The remarkable courage of this 23-year-old girl will be displayed on "Mission To Malaya," a special documentary in ABC News' "The Daring American" series, to be aired tonight on ABC-TV from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m., EST.

Since her graduation from the Peace Corps Training Center at DeKalb, 111., Marjorie has been operating a rural health center on the island of Pulau Lang- kawi, located about 50 miles off the northwest corner of Malaya. There, she is responsible for the health and care of 24,000 natives. During her first day as resident nurse on the island, Marjorie was called upon to face a life-or-dearh situation in which a pregnant native woman, in need of emergency surgery, had to be transported by boat to the mainland hospital. The 50-mile trip across fee Straits of Malacca had to be executed through waters infested by unfriendly Indonesian pirates. An ABC camera crew went along on and captured all the tension and drama on film for "Mission To Malaya." A graduate of Keuka College in upper New York State, Marjorie currently represents half the "orang puteh" (white person) population on Langkawi, and, as he describes it, is "probably one of the most isolated Peace Corps volunteers anywhere."
