i It Ii Pretty Dear Sirs: Here are the words to a very pretty song, I wish you would please publish it so other folks may have them for their books. i "Drifting and DreBiac Each weary day holds but sorrow for me, Each hour is filled with regret For my thoughts softly drift. Into someone I love, someou I'll never forget. Chorus Drifting alone In memories Down the trail of dreams. Where we wandered long ago.

Under the bright moonbeams No matter where I ever roam I'm alwajs lonely Drifting with my memories Down the trail of dreams. My dreams were in bed When we said goodby And now the sky's never blue The whole world is wrong And I'm still drifting on Wondering if you're lonely too. (Chorus) Submitted by: MRS. LEROY BONSALL, Millerstown, R. D.

She begged me not to leave her boys, for me she would have died; My mother's heart is breaking for a win dering boy that's all; And with God's help I'll see her when the work's all done this fall. That very night the cowboy went out to stand his guard, The night was dark and storming very hard; The cattle all got frightened anl rushed in wild stampede; The cowboy tried to head them an turn the herd about. His saddle pony stumbled and on the boy did fall And he won't see his mothr when the work's all done this rail. Just send my mother my wages, the wages I have earned. For I won't live to see her, my last tear I have turned; I'm going to a new range," hear nry master call.

"THE LITTLE RED SHAWL MY MOTHER WORE" The little red shawl my mother wore. It now lies on the shelf, it is faded and torn.

That dear old shawl my mother wore; 'Tis all that left for this heart to adore. To bring to the mind those happy days oi yore, How often the hands to these folds have I been pressed, i That now beneath the daisies are at rest. The tears come unbidden and silently i fall. To gleam like gems on mother's old red shawl. It is useful no more, yet Uondly adore That dear old shawl my mother wore; And through life it shall be a loved treasure to me.

That little old red shawl my mother wore. Oh, my heart often aches with a dull, throbbing pain. When childhood visions come again. And sadly I think of the days that are past i Too Joyous anri too beautiful to last. Oh, fond, lovely childhood, made bright by the smile.

Of one whose love could ever care beguile; How gladly I'd fly from the world' bitter thrall To seek the heart that throbbed be I neath toll ahawL Oh, how brightly her face to my memory appears. i That face so dear to childhood's years; How sweet sounds her voice, with a cad ence of lore. inougn now 'tis turned to melodv above: For life glides away like a tale' that is toia, i But Joy of ehildhocd never can grow old. i And visions of mother, so dear to us all.
