Harrisburg boy who died in France from wounds received in action in will be buried in this city with military honors. Barker left this city for Camp Hancock with the Governor's Troop and was later transferred to Battery 108th He sailed for France May 13, 1918, and was wounded August 14, 1918, while fighting on the Fismes front.

It la said that Barker was driving a Howitzer to the front line when a high explosive shell bursted near him, the shell striking him in the back. He died in a hospital and was buried in France Barker, before the war.lived at 66S Schuylkill street. Captain George J. Shoemaker, commander of the Governor's Troop, Troop First Company, is making arrangements for the funeral services. Mrs.

James A. Stranahan Is Dead at Home in Mercer Mrs. James A. Stranahan, wife of fofmer DerJuty Attorney General Stranahan, formerly of this city died Thursday at her home in Mercer, according to word received here yesterday. Mr.

and Mrs. Stranahan were residents of Harrisburg for more than twenty years resided for ten years at 303 North Second street. The couple left Harrisburg a year ago and went to mercer, the former home of Mrs. strananan. Several years Stranahan, when on a trip to Pittsburgh with her husband was injured in a train wreck.

From that injury and shock, Mrs. Stranahan never fully recovered and. a slight injury a year later when she fell on iu pavement brought on illness which are thought to have caused her death. Mr. Stranahan.

who is still a mem ber of the Dauphin County Bar, tried several eases last year. Mrs. Strana han was a member of the Pine street Presbyterian church. She is survived by her Husband. James A.

HVRSH Funeral services for Mrs. Elmira J. Hursh, aged 76, widow of A. L. Hursh, who died Wednesday even in; at the home of her son, Roy T.

Hursh. 123 South Third street, were held this atternoon at 1 o'clock at the home of another son, J. N. Trindie Springs Road. The services were conducted by the Rev.

Dr. Ellis N. Kremer, pastor of the Salem Reformed Church. Burial was made in the Franklin Church York county. Mrs.

Hursh is survived by four sons, Roy T. and' D. Hursh, of this city; C. A. Hursh, ot Kansas City.
