It is hard to see it as a blessing. Yet, for the good of our mind and body, God created us with need for work. He considers work very important for normal living. The Roman emporer Marcus Aurelius was not a Christian, but he understood the importance of work He wrote. "In the morning when thou findest thyself unwilling to rise, consider with thyself presently, it is to go about a man's work that I am stirred up.

Am I yet unwilling to go about that, for which I myself was born?" The good life is a life of doing freely and gladly what God created us to do in the service of Jesus Christ.
