"The Moon Is Blue" Opens Engagement In Richmond Tomorrow Peggy Ann Garner, Bramwell Fletcher and James Burns are putting the' final touches on their production of Hugh Herbert's saucy comedy, "The Moon is In New York City, prior to the play's opening at ihe WRVA Theatre In Richmond, tomorrow night for a one-week engagement. The Richmond date will be followed by engagements In Atlanta, for one week beginning March 8 and In Wilmington, N. for one week beginning March 22. The presentation of "The Moon is Blue" in these cities will the first time that the controversial play has played in these areas since its record breaking run in New York. In the meanwhile, the picture version of the play has managed to stir up considerable discussion across the country, resulting in a censorship ban in several states.

Just why the frank dialog should have raised such a flurry of pros and cons in picture circles is puzzling to many adult observers who feel that the picture version is a considerable cut below the stage play, which had no censorship threats during its PEGGY-ANN GARNER roa'd tour and New York run.
