Thrown up on the beach bait wad, the two survivors realized that their only hope of rescue lay 111 keeping a fire burning on a headland overlooking the sea. Night after night they kept the fire going. Day followed day with heart- tfceaking monotony.

One of them, wearying of the task, soon refused to gather wood or tend the tire. He lost hope, became sullen embittered. The other kept the fire going alone and kept faith alive in his heart. "Some night." he said. "I'll see an answer- searchlight." And he did! Christian education mnkcs available to us the beliefs and faith of-the Church, but they must still be made our own.

We must win them, merit them by persistent faithfulness on the level of daily Jiving. Great beliefs and great failh are achieved and retained only by great character.
