The case of the Norton- Morgan Commercial Co vs Mase, et al arieing out of an old deal involving old Leadville Mining company property at Courtland was on trial this afternoon. The bond for the appearance of Willis Wood at the next term of the district court arrived thie morning, but it was too late as Wood yesterday withdrew hie plea of not guilty and entered one of guilty and was sentence ed to serve ane year. He was taken to Florence thie morning. Wood did not regret the step he took and said it would be allover that much quicker FRIDA? The attention of the district court was taken up today. the larger portion of the time in the trial of the case of Charles Bowman re Warnekros, and involves the question of a commission of in pection with the asle of some stock of the Great Western Copper Company.

Since the case has been filed, there have been a number of motione, de. murere and etc. filed, which have all been argued and diepoeed of and the case went to trial today on ite merits. The cause of the plaintiff ie being looked after by Col. Pickett, while the intereets of the defendant are being attended to by Mre Sorin of Tuceon.

A number of prominent citizens of the county have been called as witnesses among whom are the following: John Gleeson of Gleeson, Si Bryant, Young and Young of the Great Western Copper Company, Supt McBride and Douglas Gray. Since the first of the year there have been filed in the district court eight actione for divorce, all from Bisbee and Douglas.
