Fox, Austin William WHITEFISH BAYMADISON Austin William Fox, of Whitefish Bay and Madison, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2000. He was the beloved son of Lynn (Bill Chojnowski, Whitefish Bay, and John Fox, Madison; loving brother of Leah Fox, Whitefish Bay; devoted grandson of William and Ruth Maxim, Oswego, Illinois, James Fox, Wisconsin Dells, and Harry and Loretta Chojnowski, Milwaukee, and the late Margaret Fox; fond nephew of 17 aunts and uncles; and further survived by many loving relatives and friends. Services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2000, at 2:00 p.m.

at WHITEFISH BAY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated. Austin's love of music and art will be remem Illinois.

He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1936. He fanned for 20 years prior to his taking a job with the State of Wisconsin and retired in 1978. Bob will always be remembered for his kindness and unselfish sharing of his time demonstrated in the many volunteer activities he was involved in over the years. Bob had been active with the Future Fanners of America, 4-H, where he served as Jefferson County 4-H leader for many years, Mobile Meals volunteer, Red Cross Bloodmobile volunteer and most recently as Schmitt Woodland Hills resident manager of the Handy Shop. In 1977, they were selected Volunteer of the Year for Region II of the Wisconsin Association of Home and Services for the Aging.

Bob was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed his flower gardens and shanng his beautiful gladiolas with everyone. He also enjoyed singing ana was involved in choirs at church and numerous men's choral groups throughout his life. He is survived by his wife of 63 i'ears, Chrystal; five children, James Pat), of Mooresville, Indiana, Caro-yn (Ron) Jahr, of Waterloo, Norman (Linda), of Fort Atkinson, Wesley (Dianne, of Onalaska, and Lewis (MaryEllen), of Antioch, Illinois; 11 grandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren, and seven step-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond (Peggy), of Pope, Mississippi; a sister-in-law, Margaret Panzer, of Pasadena, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; a son-in-law, Carroll Radloff; a daughter-in-law, Loy Kay Panzer; and his step-grandson. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m.

Leahy was born! March 15, 1959, in Hazel Greeny Wisconsin, the daughter of James FJ and Nilva (Henneman) Leahy. She graduated from Darlington High School in 1977. She attended1 Southwest Wisconsin Technical College and became a certified nursing assistant. She then worked at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County and at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. In 1980, Barbara moved to Aurora, Colorado, and married Ronald Stewart in 1995.

She was an office manager for Oxford Recycling. She and her husband, Ronald, owned and operated Fabrication Steel Erection, Inc. Barbara enjoyed gardening, and sharing produce with her friends and neighbors. Survivors are! her husbandT Ronald Stewart, of Aurora, Colorado: her parents, Jim, and Nilva Leahy, of Darlington; her Kennedy, Matthew Thomas "Matt" MADISON Matthew Thomas "Matt" Kennedy, age 25, died on Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at Meriter Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on August 21, 1974, in Madison, the son of lames and Katherine (Guess Kennedy.

He worked at Michael's Frozen Custard on Atwood Avenue. He graduated from Madison East High School in 1992, where he played football, and was an all-City guard his senior year. Matt hiked the Appalachian Trail from.Georgia to Maine in 1994 with his brother Mike. He loved the outdoors, golf, reading, and movies. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Kathy Kennedy, of Madison; two brothers, Mike Kennedy, of Madison, and Joe Kennedy, of Madison; a sister, Becky Kennedy, of Madison; his girlfriend, Faith Kalis-zewski; maternal grandmother, Nata Guess, of Madison; maternal grandfather, John (Marilyn) Guess, of Madison; paternal grandparents, Donald and Barbara Kennedy; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many good friends.

She was born on February 3, 1930, in Madison, the daughter of Norman and Mabel (Gladem) Disrud. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Mullikin, of Madison; a brother, Jerry (Connie) Disrud, of Madison; and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Selmer, in 1983; and an infant son. Noltner, age 37, of Ashton, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family and close friends, after a courageous battle with cancer. "She was born on July 20, 1962, in Middle-ton, to Robert and Ruth Busch. She was married to Vince Noltner on September 13, 1986.

She was employed at Banks for 19 years. Lynn loved to throw horseshoes and was an avid Badgers and Packers fan. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Ashton. Survivors include her husband, Vince; four children, Brian, Kelly, Kyle, and Kimberly; her parents, Bob and Ruth Busch; a sister, Terri Simon; a brother, Tom (Kari Jo); also sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen (Wally) Breunig, Daniel (Dawn) Noltner, David (Peggy Noltner, Shirley Noltner and friend Jeff Dresen, Janet (Tim) Hix, and Jeff Simon; also several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Panzer, age 86, of Richland Center, Wisconsin, and formerly of Rhine-lander, died peacefully at Schmitt Woodland Hills on Monday, May 1, 2000. Robert was born on August 7, 1913, to George and Harriet (Miller) Panzer in Gurnee, Illinois.

On June 21, 1936, he married the former Chrystal F. Schumaker in Gurnee, if July 4, 1999, in front of Independence Hall, Philadelphia. Sponsored by Kodak, it was reprinted in the nation's news media, including this January's American Heritage magazine. Lenore M. Judd Cockroft, age 71, of Belleville, Wisconsin, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Friday, April 28, 2000, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Madison. The former Lenore Judd was born May 11, 1928, on the family farm near Basco, Wisconsin, the daughter of Selmer and Leona (Gmur) Judd. On October 24, 1947, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Cockroft at Verona.

She was a member of Capitoland Christian Center, Madison. Lenore had worked for the University of Wisconsin Stores Department for 30 years. Survivors include two sons, Michael Cockroft, of Monroe, and Patrick (Kimberly) Cockroft, of Belleville; four daughters, Judith I Bliss) Nicholson, of Verona, Linda Howard) Roper, of Oregon, Joan Jerry) Smithback, of Oregon, and instance (Roger) Jameson, of Belleville; two Drothers, Kenneth an) Juda, ot uarno, ana uavia 'at) Ju udd. of Belleville: a sister, Ei- een Gonlin, of Oregon; 30 grand children, and 17 great-grandchildren. Lenore will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death was her husband, LeRoy, in 1991; an infant daughter, Lori; her mother, Leona, in 1991; her father, Selmer, in 1996; a brother, Selmer Judd, in 1984; and a great-granddaughter, Faith Ann Fosso, in 1999. Davis, age 83, went peacefully into the presence of her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, May 2, 2000. Evelyn was born on September 21, 1916, in Windsor, Wisconsin, the only child of Paul F.

and Edith M. (Helmke) Quitzo. She married Clark C. Davis January 25, 1934, in Charles City, Iowa. She prayed, asking Jesus to be her savior, in September 1941 at her home in Verona.

Evelyn was a member of Memorial Baptist Church since 1942, but has been attending West Madison Bible Church for the last 2-12 years, since her stroke. Evelyn taught Sunday school nearly 30 years and taught good news clubs for two years. She was hostess to many missionaries and bible clubs in her home. After Clark's death, she was caregiver for 22 people. She worked for five years in the Verona School System and was recording secretary for R.S.V.P.

She was preceded in death by her husband on December 26, 194; and daughters, Marjorie Mae, January 17, 1948, and Louanne (Gene) Dahlk, December 15, 1996. Evelyn leaves six children, James (Shelly deceased) Davis, Oregon, Barbara (David deceased) Hodgson, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Diane (Sheldon) Sterner, Madison, Betty (Dwight) Sweeney, DeForest, Susan (Allen) Grindle, Verona, and Carolyn (Tom Steven-, son) Davis, Madison. She also leaves 19 loving grandchildren and 24 loving great-grandchildren. Evelyn's mother, Edith Quitzo Hugh-ley, married Wayde Hughley and had five children. te SUN PRAIRIE Jerome L. Blaska died early on Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at Evora Lodge after a brief illness at the age of 80. He was walking and talking until hs last moments. He went out on his own terms, in command of his Own turf, which is how he lived his life. Jerome raised a large and athievement-oriented family, ran ah innovative farm, was immersed ih the civic life of his community, and was an active player in the sjate's political scene.

He was born July 4, 1919, to John M. and Rose (Schuster) Blaska on the family farm in the town of Sun Prairie, the middle of nine children and one of tjiree to be born on Independence Day. He was always very proud of tjiat and of his country. After graduation from Sun Prairie High School itx 1937, he became the youngest fieldman for Oconomowoc Canning Company. His field crops, whether oats, barley, peas, corn, or tobacco, Were always top-notch.

Later he became a tobacco buyer for P. Lorri-lard Co. while still farming in the town of Sun Prairie. In 1964, he served on the National Tobacco Industry Advisory Council. His mind never rested.

One cold winter day rje slipped while feeding the cattle and broke his leg. He spent his convalescence devising a new way to ffeed livestock. His electric pushbutton system in 1958 was written ijp in the major farm magazines. He was proud of his service in World War II from 1942 until 1946. He as stationed in the Aleutian Islands.

He cooked many hamburgers Since then as an active member of VFW Post 333 in Sun Prairie and the American Legion. He fought for Better farm prices and tax equity through his membership in Assou-ajed Milk Producers, and as president of the Dane County Farmers Union, a position he held at the time of his death, some 25 years in grew a beard to protest high property taxes. At Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, Jerome served as usher, and was a member of the Holy Name Society, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Knights of Columbus. He built a bridge and washed spaghetti dinner dishes for Lions Club fundraisers. He was a volunteer firefighter, and -like his grandfather clerk of Oak Lawn School, the one-room country school that he, his children, and his father attended.

He was a founder of the Island Church Foundation, which maintained the church his German Bohemian great-grandparents helped build, southeast of Waterloo, in 1863. He served in the Wisconsin State Legislature, as had his father. First elected in a special election in April 1959, Jerome served four terms and rose to become a major player as chairman of the Assembly Highway Committee. He played a pivotal role in completing the interstate highway system. It was the achievement he talked most about In 1960, desiring party unity, he was instrumental in throwing the state's support to John F.

Kennedy, even though he had been elected as a Hubert Humphrey delegate. He then spurned political rewards offered by the successful ticket so that he could remain on the farm. Born on Independence Day, he had to be his own boss. He was a Democrat who believed in growing the pie, not cutting it into ever thinner pieces. In later life, he enthusiastically supported Governor Tommy Thompson, but beat him badly at euchre.

But then, he beat everyone at euchre and sheeps-head. In his retirement, he became a great Great Lakes walleye fisherman. He married Helen Curl of Bloomfield, Iowa, on February 7, 1948. They contributed to the Baby BoonT'six times; David (Marilisal Blaska, of Madison, J. Michael (Peggy) Blaska, of Sun Prairie, Elizabeth Blaska, who died in 1997, William (Diane) Blaska, of rural Reeseville, Jane Ann (James) Swod-zinski, of Neshkoro, and Richard (Margaret) Blaska, of San Francisco: and nine grandchildren.

Helen died in 1981. Jerome is also survived by brothers, Gregory Blaska, of Sun Prairie, and Cyril, of Oconomowoc; sisters, Evelyn Owens, of Sun Prairie, Lila La Barro, of Sun Prairie, Burdette Blaska, of Sun Prairie, and Elaine Wood, of McFarland; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by nis special friend, Katie Glab, of Sun Prairie. His sister, Juanita "Dolly" Blaska; and brother, John Blaska, preceded him in death. His life achievements were recognized nationally when he was chosen as one of 100 people, one born in each year of the 20th Century on the Fourth of July, to be pictured in the "Photo of the Century," taken on bered by all who love him.

Hybertson, age 66, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, died on Monday, May 1, 2000, at Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls. She was born on September 20, 1933, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

She grew up in Lincoln County and graduated from high school at Be-resford. Following nigh school she attended Lutheran Bible Institute at Minneapolis, Minnesota. She then attended St. Olaf College at North-field, Minnesota, where she graduated with a degree in social work. She worked as a social worker in Faribault County, Minnesota, for two years, after which she moved to Wisconsin and worked as a social worker in Milwaukee and Madison for many years.

She moved to Sioux Falls in 1995. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Survivors include a brother, Paul Hybertson, and his wife, Lillie Ann, Rapid City, South Dakota; four nieces, Karen Opoien, West Bloomington, Minnesota, Susan Dickerson, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Mary Frederick, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Farmen, Katy, Texas; a nepnew, Joel Hybertson, of Rapid City, South Dakota: two special friends. Jean Brooks, of Madison, and Vernon Brooks, of San Antonio, Texas; and several cousins. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Hazel Hybertson.

"Pete" Ifc. MADISON Alvah K. "Pete" Keaster passed away on Monday, May 1, 2000, at Milwaukee VA Medical Center. Pete was born on September 1, 1924, at Provo, Arkansas, the youngest son of Finis M. Keaster and Mamie Keaster.

He grew up and attended schools near After high school he worked for a short time in a Mississippi ship yard. Pete enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on January 25, 1943, and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He was released from Marines on February 8, 1946. He worked at various occupations and attended college until nis enlistment in the U.S.

Air Force on January 26 1951, where he served until retirement on January 31, 1968. In his Air Force career, he was an aerial photographer on RB50's during the Korean War. Pete retrained into electronics at Lowry Air Force Base from September 1957 to August 1958, and repaired the missile control systems on 102 fighters. Pete Keaster and Arta Marie Gibson were united in marriage on February 11, 1955, at Forbes Air Force Base Chapel, To-peka, Kansas. Pete was active in AA since 1978 and was blessed with a great generosity of spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to his family and many friends.

Survivors include his wife, Arta Marie Gibson; a son, Richard D. (Lisa) Keaster, of McFarland; four grandchildren, Richard J. Keaster, Alicia Marie Keaster, Jessica Ann Keaster, and Nicholas Karr Keaster, all of McFarland; his daughter, Sheila K. Barnes, a granddaughter, Danielle Barnes, and a great-grandson, Dylan Anthony Barnes, all of San Jose, California; an uncle, Rufus Keaster, of DeQueen, Arkansas; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews in California, Arkansas, and Texas. Pete was preceded in death by his parents; and his three brothers.

He and his brothers were all serving in combat zones during World War II, two in the South Pacific and two in Europe. At Pete's request, no funeral will be held. After cremation, a private memorial service will be held at a later date. If anyone wishes, donations to the Paralyzed Veterans of America and Disabled American Veterans may be made to honor Pete's life. (1-888-303-3910). Pressentin, lames F. "Jim" H. GREEN BAY James F. "Jim" f3 Pressentin, age 72, a Green Bay attorney for the past 42 years and a former Allouez municipal judge, died at his home on Monday, May 1, 2000, after an extended battle with cancer.

An outstanding golfer and a longtime officer of the Northeastern Wisconsin Golf Association, he also became widely known in the sports world for his skill with a camera, having served as a photographer for the National Football League (NFL Films), the National Basketball Association, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association for 25 years. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1958, he began his practice of law in Green Bay in 1958, in association with Bernard Berk. He later served as Allouez Municipal Judge for 20 years (1969 until 1989). Jim Pressentin was born in Madison on November 3, 1927, the son of the late Oscar E. and Alice C.

(Thiede) Pressentin. He graduated from Madison East High School in 1943 and received his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin in 1949. He subsequently served with the U.S. Army from 1951 until 1953 as a member of the Counter Intelligence Corps and was presented with the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Medal of Service for his work as an investigator for the CIC. A member of Oneida Golf and Riding Club since 1971, he won a number of club and county championships during his competitive career and took special pride in his last county title, won at the age of 57 in 1986.

Still serving as secretary of the NEWGA at the time of his death, he had been presented with its "Man of the Year" award in 1994. Maintaining a keen interest in the game when declining health no longer permitted him to play, he continued to serve as a certified rules official for Wisconsin Golf Association tournaments and was studying his rule book in preparation for his next assignment a few days prior to his death. Jim is survived by his wife. Midge; a son. Tim, and his wife, Mary Sue, and their children, Megan, Benjamin, and Andrew; step-children, Jeannie (Gary) Poehls, Green Bay, Julie (Gary) Albers, Sylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert H. and Donald a niece, Susie; and a nephew, Jeffrey. MOUNT HOREBMADISON Bernice "Brownie" Raschick, age 88, died peacefully on Tuesday night, May 2, 2000, at Ingleside Nursing Home in Mount Horeb.

She was born on July 9, 1911, in Stanwood, Washington. Brownie lived most of her adiflt life in Tomah, but was near her Madison family for the last six years. She was loved by her husband, Dick, who preceded her in death by 10 months; her sons. Rick and Mike; her daughter-in-law, Sally; her grandchildren, Malia and Chris; and the many close friends she had during the course of her life. Brownie was a woman to whom "family" meant a great deal.

She was extremely proua of her pioneer heritage. Though the mother of sons, her legacy included an appreciation of strong roles for inde- Eendent women. According to rownie's wishes, a private family service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, with burial to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family wishes to give Colorado, Marleen (Jim) Burns and Nancy (Ralph) Hackbarth, both of Aurora, Colorado, Karen (David) Yaeger and Beverly Severson, both of Madison, Darleene (Roger) Jones, of Rockford, Illinois, Phyllis Erickson, of Dodgeville, and Diane (Ken) Colbeck, of Darlington; her brother, James, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Anna Leahy and Phillip and Lizzie Henneman; and a nephew, Wesley Jones, in 1988. "Chuck" Widish III, age 42, of Lake Mills, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at home. He was born on October 20, 1957, in Dodgeville, the son of Raymond and Marlene Widish, Jr. On March 14, 1981, Raymond married Lori Buenzow of Lake Mills at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Jefferson. A graduate of Lake Mills High School, class of 1977, and an area resident sincp 1972, he had been employed at the former APV Crepaco, of Lake Mills for 11 years and most recently by Lake Mills Blacktop.

He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson, and also member and secretary for Creek of the Woods Snowmobile Club. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jeremy; a daughter, Jessica; his Barents; two brothers, Kenneth and suglas (Tonia); and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. at ST.
