Hansen was overjoyed at the re sults which have been attained by the development work at the mine, and last night was telegraphing good lews to Judge Cass, who Is now in Chicago, and also to Gld Graham, who vas in pananea. Mr. Hansen stated last night that a body of gold ore ha3 Zeen encountered in the tunnel which juts the Monte Vlsto in a class with the best gold mines In Mexico. Sir. Hansen brought some of the rich ore -vith him, and it Is certainly high jrade.

A telogram was sent to Judge Cass, asking him to stop any further sale of stock in the company. Bisbee Horse Thief. The local offl cers have been warned by telephone to Xeep a lookout for a bay horse -hich was stolen at Bisbee last night. The name of the owner is not known iere, but it appears that the stable in -which the. horse was kept was broken pen and the horse, with a new saddle aad bridle, taken away.

Will Go to School. C. A. Minu3, srho has been employed in the grocery department of the Copper Queen store, las resigned, and. after spending a few days on the Slaughter ranch, will go to the university at Tucson on September 15th.

An Ordinance Levying Taxes in the City of Bisbee for the Year 1903. BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Bisbee, as follows. Section 1. That there shall be levied for the year 1905 upon the assess ed valuation of the real and personal property within the City of Bisoee as shown by the Equalization roll of said year (except upon such property as is or may be exempt from taxation under the laws of the Territory), the following taxes: First Four mills on the dollar of such assessed valuation to defray the salaries of officers and the ordinary contingent expenses of the city not otherwise provided for. Second Two mills on the dollar of such assessed valuation for the pur pose of constructing and repairing streets, sewers, sidewalks and cro33 streets, bridges and culverts.

Third Four mills on the doilar of such assessed valuation to defray the interest on the public debt of the city. Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of Its passage by the Common Council and approved by tha Mayor. Passed and adopted this fourth day of September, 1905. Approved this 4th day of September, 1905.
