A OBITUARIES GENE CALLAHAN BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) Academy Award-winning art director and set designer Gene Callahan, 67, who worked on more than 50 movies and 1,000 television programs, died at his Baton Rouge home Wednesday. No cause of death was given. Callahan won Oscars for his set designing work in "The Hustler" starring Paul Newman and Jackie Gleason and for art direction in "America, America." He received an Academy Award nomination for "The Cardinal." Callahan, who started working in theater by designing opera sets in the 1940s at Louisiana State University, recently worked as production designer for the movie "Steel Magnolias." ROAD BLOCKS Here are some key traffic bottlenecks for this weekend and next week: I Battery Tunnel has one lane in each direction closed from 11:45 p.m. to 5:45 a.m. Wednesday through Thursday for routine maintenance. I Henry Hudson Bridge will have the right lane south of the bridge closed Sunday through Saturday. The lower level's left lane will be closed intermittently from noon to 3 p.m.

Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday. In the same time period, there also will be intermittent closings of the middle and right lanes for maintenance. The upper level's right lane will be closed from noon to 3:30 p.m.

Wednesday, and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday for sidewalk demolition. Midtown Tunnel will have one lane in each direction closed from 11:45 p.m. to 5:45 a.m.

Wednesday and Thursday for routine maintenance. Marine Parkway Bridge will have one southbound lane closed from noon to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, and 7:30 a.m. to: 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
