TL- A Ir 1J'J JT Traffic men of El Paso arrived In the city Sunday afternoon on the special train provided for their trip by the E. P. S. and despite Inclement weather enjoyed half a day looking about the city and visiting some of the mines of the camp.

Their arrival here was preceded by a stop at Douglas, during -which they were entertained by a committee of the Chamber of Commerce and shown about the town. The Copper Queen store was Inspected and the smelters visited. Nearly all of the railroad men went underground when they arrived in this city and got a glimpse of the wonderful ore deposits of the camp. Those who did not go into the mines had a comfortable time at the Copper Queen Hotel and in taking In the sights about the liveliest town in the Southwest. At o'clock the visitors sat down to a banquet at the hotel.

At this gathering there were about forty in attendance. Numerous toasts were responded to and a happy evening pleasantly spent. At 10:30 the party repaired to its special train, and at 10:40 left for El Paso. Arrival was made there yesterday morning at 7:30. He is seeking an appointment in the immigration service. Mrs. Barker leaves in a few days for her home at Los Angeles, after a cqu-ple months visit here- Mis. Charles Thomas has been seriously ill at her home in Upper Tombstone canyon for the last several days, threatened with conjestlon of the brain. Last evening she was reported some improved.

Miss Anna Hull ft last evening for Oakland, where she was summoned bv a telezram announcing the serious injury in a fall of her grandmother. MiS3 Catherine Barr. of Tombstone, is in the city, the guest of Miss Helen Goudy. George Dunn was in the yesterday from the Ajo mountains for a brief visit. He returns to his mining property today.

Miss Inez Foster arrived In the city yesterday from Las Vegas. She comes to take a position on the staff of the Miner. We recommend the bnying of lots In the Johnson Addition. J. E.

Thompson Co. OBITUARY. The Standard Furniture Company 18 Brewery Phone 244 at 38 Basset. Milton Basset, aged 24 years, died In this city Sunday morning. The cause of death was given as abscess of the liver, resulting from an opera- 1 tlon undergone some time ago for ap pendicitis.

The mother of the deceased arrived In the city last week from her nome at Flagstaff In" response to a telegram notifying of the serious condition of her left for the north yesterday witfi the body. Sinclair occurred at the home of tho bride's aunt, Mrs. Newman, Rev. Fry conducting the ceremony. That of Miss McCrea and Sir. Reynolds occurred at the home of the bride's parents, Father Gheldorf officiating.

Reynolds has an important clerkship in the offices "of the Copper Queen at Douglas. BRIEF CITY NEW Fined $50 Mrs. Wilson, of Lowell found guilty Saturday of an assault upon a school teacher, was fined yesterday. The Mexican arrested for attempting to break into the Copper Queen hospital, was bound over to the grand jury in the sum of $300. 6 Much Building W.

R. Moore, of the Douglas Cast Stone company, was In the city yesterday looking for building contracts. Mr. Moore states that there are a number of these of importance ahead, while a large amount of building is now in progress. He considers that the next several months will be the busiest that Bisbee has ever known in the building line.
