K. blocking it to traffic the plght before. The walk above the street has not yet been repaired, a forty foot gap still existing in its center. n.i- RnnH RM Thfi school trustees have fixed April 15th as the date for opening the bids that may be received lor purchase of the school bonds recently voted.

The outlook Is that the number of these bids will be extensive. -d Cleaned Overflow From Alley A train was backed into the alley back of Main street yesterday along with a force of men, who cleaned up the overflow from the Angius cesspool and loaded the stuff onto the train. It was pulled away and dumped. Council Meeting The City Council will meet in regular session Tuesday evening next. R. Henderson, appointed to be deputy assessor for the city, commenced his work yesterday. There is about three months of it ahead. Mr. Henderson is under contract to do the work for $250.

Banks Still Slipping Though there were no serious slips of retaining walls in the city esterday there were a number of small slides of dirt and rock, at places making obstructfons in roadways. C. Moffatt, of Tucson, arrived in the city yesterday, and last night participated in the evangelistic services at the Presbjterian church. He will return todav to Tucson. Rev. Moffatt was formerly pastor of the Presoyteriau church at Tucson.

Lately he resigned his place at Tucson and took up general work in the Territory In behalf of the church, at which he is now engaged. ft Aubury Out W. E. Aubury, at whose home in Tombstone canyon a smallpox quarantine prevailed until yesterday morning, came down town in the afternoon. Mr.

Aubury was the last member of the family to bo taken sick, and was for a time thought to be in a very grave condition. He however made speedy recovery, escaping the attack with no serious results attendant. it City Court Work In the court of Judge McDonald yesterday morning a Mexican arrested Thursday night in a state of noisy and ugly intoxication hv Officer White, was given seven days in jail. Two men arrested by Merchants Policeman Thomas Thursday night for using obscene language and threatening assault upon passing citizens were si-yen seven days each. The fellows are hobos.

Boy Hurt A twelve-year-old son of A. W. Haley slipped in the mud yesterday while running alongside a wagon on Naco road. The boy was thrown beneath the wagon, a rear wheel running over and severely Injuring his left foot. He was taken home by the driver of the wagon and the injury attended.

Only an accident saved the boy's body from being run over by the wheel of the wagon, in which case fatal injuries wouia have been probable. The driver happened to see the boy as he fell and saved him from worse injury than he sustained by quickly swerving the team to one side. ft In From Huachucas Messrs. Cox, Champagne and Cummings came In yesterday from the Huachucas, where they have been doing assessment work in Montezuma canyon on claims in the Mitchell Development group. Messrs.

Cox and Champagne completed their work, on Thursday and will not return to the canyon. Mr. Cummings goes back today. The assessment work that has been done by the returned claim owners, they state, brought some very satisfactory results. This was true on nearly every claim upon which the original owners did work this year.

Such statement shall be made in writing, signed and sworn to by the claimant, or In case of his absence from this cotfnty, then by his agent or attorney. The statement shall specify the grounds of the claim, particularly describe the lots claimed, the date and name as near as may he of the first actual occupant, what improvements have been made thereon, and at the time of making such statement the lots are actually possessed and ocoupled by the claimant, or that the right to such possession and occupation is in him if the same Is occupied by another. And that such claimant shall pay to the trustee the sum of five dollars ($5) as the purchase price fcr each lot claimed, not exceed. executing and making a deed to said lot. and twenty cents (20c) per folio for filing and recording a statement of claim to said lot.

All claimants who have filed their claims, shall within sixty (60) days after the expiration of the time of fll ing claims with the trustee, by compe tent evidence make proof of the facts alleged in his statement before the trustee.
