16. Members of the Kittatinny Camp Fire have tha honor of belonging to the lirst organization of the kind in this locality, with Miss Margaret Black burn as guardian of the Fire. The camp is named for the chain of mountains, called by the Delaware Indians, Kittatinny, meaning "endless hills," which are in plain view every day in this section of the country. The slogan is "To the Everlasting Hills," and the enduring blue of the mountains is the camp color. A council fire is held once a month when the ceremonial gown is worn, and the girls have chosen Indian names.

The "Kittatinny" was organized officially July 17, 1916, and held ita meetings out of doors until recently. Their hikes took them to the mountains, Conodoguinet creek, Silver Spring, old historic St. John's Church and other places. Eight of the members have taken the degree of Wood Gatherer. The membership of the "Kittatinny" is as follows: Guardian of the Fire, Miss Margaret Blackburn; chief of the forest, Miriam Zufall; Rachael Shelly, MaTy Koller, Marjorie Baum, Florence Orris, Elizabeth Hurst, Miriam Orris, Elizabeth Crawford and Ruth Miller.
