Yiilotidc Appetizer (Makes 8 servings) One (No. 2Vz- can fruit cocktail, l a cup grenadine, 1/3 cup lime juice, Vt cup light rum or rum flavoring, lemon sherbet. Drain fruit cocktail. Combine grenadine, lime juice and rum; pour over drained fruit. Chill well. Prepare pastry, using I'/z times conventional recipe. Chill, if desired. Roll pastry Vs-inch thick. Line individual tart shells or muffin pans (2-inches by 1-inch) with pastry, fluting edge as desired. Mix the egg. corn sprup, salt, vanilla, sugar and melted butter together. Stir in pecans. Spoon into the unbaked shells, allowing 2 teaspoons filling in each shell. Bake in a hot oven (400 degrees F.) 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on rack. CHRISTMAS DINNER: Roast Jiam, candied crab apple garnish, sweet potato pudding, large onions stuffed with peas, green beans, French rolls, watercress salad, French dressing, miniature pecan pies topped with ice cream, coffee, tea, milk, nuts and raisins, mints.
