Dogs previously were banned from all areas of all city parks, but that law was violated. Borgrud, age 54, of 117 North Main Street, Deerfield, died May 13, 1983, at his residence. He was born January 13, 1929, in Madison. He was employed as a construction worker for most of his life. On July 29, 1949, he married the former Betty Anderson. He was a veteran of World War 11.

Survivors include three sons, Gary of Deerfield, David of Middleton, and Michael of Deerfield; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Susan) Hubred of Deerfield, and Mrs. Dale (Diane) Schmidt of Deerfield; two brothers, Denver of Madison, and Lincoln of Madison; three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Evelyn) Peetz of Merrimac, Stella Bewick of Merrimac, and Agnes Grimes of Madison; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, in July of 1982; his parents; a sister; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at ST. PAUL'S LIBERTY LUTHERAN CHURCH at 11 A.M. on Monday, May 16, 1983. Reverend James Steinbrecher will officiate. Burial will be in St.

Paul's Liberty Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. on Sunday, May 15, 1983, at the SMYTH FUNERAL HOME, Deerfield. Brewer, Horace (Ted) SUN PRAIRIE Mr. Horace (Ted) Brewer, age 75, of 713 Chase Boulevard, died on Thursday, May 12, 1983, in a Madison Hospital.

He was born on October 7, 1907, in Lourium, Michigan and was a graduate of Calumet Michigan High School in 1925. He married the former Mary Viola Medlyn on September 16, 1932 in Calumet, Michigan. Mr. Brewer was associated with the J.C. Penny Company for 31 years in Calumet, Michigan, Dover, Bucyrus, Mansfield, Ohio, and was the store manager in Gladstone, Michigan for 15 years from 1945 to 1960 when he retired.

From 1960 to 1970, he owned the Brewer Apparel Store in Weyauwega, Wisconsin. He has been a Sun Prairie resident the past 11 years. Mr. Brewer was a member of the Sun Prairie United Methodist Church, Weyauwega Masonic Lodge F. A.M., the York Rite Bodies of Upper Michigan, and Ahmed Shrine Temple of Marquette, Michigan.

He was a past president of the Rotary Clubs of Gladstone, Michigan and Weyauwega, a past president of the Chamber of Commerce of Gladstone, Michigan and Weyauwega. He was active in church, Boy Scouts, and other community projects in both cities, and was a past director of the Colonial Club Retirement Center in Sun Prairie. Survivors Include his wife, Mary Vi; two sons, Donald H. and daughter-in-law, Leona of Chicago, Illinois, and Thomas A. and daughter-in-law, Jane of Columbia, South Carolina; a daughter, Emerald (Joyce) and son-in-law, Delano S.

Swanson of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Ivy) Bammert of Ahmeek, Michigan, Mrs. James (Marian) Dorei of Sacremento, California, and Mrs. Alvin (Betty) Doyel of Flint, Michigin. Funeral services will be held at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME 1310 Emerald Terrace in Sun Prairie on Monday, May 16, at 10a.m.

The Reverend Hilbert Lohr will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega, Wisconsin at 2p.m. Friends may call on Sunday, May 16, from where a Masonic service will be conducted at by the Sun Prairie Masonic Lodge. The family suggests that memorials be made to The Shrine Crippled Children's Hospitals and Burn Centers. Fitton, Mrs.

George (Verena) MADISON Mrs. George (Verena) Fitton, age 81, formerly of 4780 Eagle Crest Drive, died on Friday, May 13, 1983, at a local nursing home. She was born on March 8, 1902, the former Verena Goth. Mrs. Fitton was a member of St.

Patrick's Catholic Church. Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Timothy (Ann) Sweeney, and Mrs. Michael (Mary) Bosold, both of Madison; two nephews, John Jimieson of Lodi, and James Jimieson of Madison; and friends, David and Darlene Smith of Madison. She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1958.

Funeral services will be held at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 404 East Main Street, at on Monday, May 16. The Reverend Francis E. Doherty will officiate. Burial will be in the Resurrection Cemetery.

Friends may call from on Sunday, May 15, at the JOYCE FUNERAL HOME, 540 West Washington Avenue, where a prayer service will be held at 4p.m. Fruth, John J. MADISON John J. Fruth, age 29, of 910 Oakland Avenue, died on Thursday, May 12, 1983, following an automobile accident. He was born April 26, 1954, in Madison.

Survivors include his mother, Beverly Fruth; and father, Gerald Fruth of Madison; four sisters, Marilyn Fruth of Spain, Susan, Margaret and Kathleen Fruth all of Madison; a brother, Mark of Madison; and his paternal grandfather, Joseph Fruth also of Madison. Funeral services will be held at ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1134 St. James Ct. at 10 a.m.

Washington Ave. where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Fullwood, Helen S. MADISON Helen Fullwood of 3306 Blackhawk Dr. died on Friday, May 13, 1983, at a local nursing home after a long illness.

The former Helen Watson married Edward F. Fullwood and they were life-long area residents of Madison. She was a graduate of Madison Central High School and the Janesville Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Fullwood was employed as a nurse for the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where she was a supervisor of Obstetrics.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Fullwood; a son Michael Fullwood of New York city, New York; a daughter Mrs. Candice Singletarry of Durhan, North Carolina; a grandson, Michael Morgan Singletarry; her mother Mrs. Hazel Jensen of Madison. Funeral Services will be heid at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road at 11 a.m. places they could exercise their dogs.

Commissioners emphasized that the dogs had to stay on leashes and should not be exercised outside the designated areas. Daniel Stapay, park superintendent, reported recently that, after six months of the experiment, "Observations are that dog use of other parks has not changed. Dogs are seen throughout the park system." Hiestand Park, on the East Side, had "virtually no use by dog walkers," the report says. From September through February, there were 275 "drive-by" observations at Turville and nearby Olin Park, an illegal area for dogs. Of the 233 dogs observed, 28 percent were leashed in Turville, 35 percent were unleashed in Turville and 37 percent were observed in Olin.

There were 35 walk-through observations in Turville. Of the 121 dogs observed, 81 1 percent were not leashed and 38 percent were outside their designated area. "Unless their (dog owners) behavior changes immediately, they are not following the rules," said Simon Widstrand, a parks-conservation specialist. Godager, Roy BLUE RIVER Roy Godager, age 79, of Blue River passed away at the Memorial Hospital in Boscobel on Wednesday, May 11, 1983, following an illness. He was born July 14, 1903, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Einar and Lydia (Anderson) Godager.

He was married to Elmyra Hood-Lewis on January 28, 1932. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He was a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for over 50 years. He owned and operated funeral homes In Blue River, Muscoda, and Boscobel. Mr.

Godager also had operated a family owned grocery market known as Godager's Market in Blue River. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge-32nd degree. He was a former member of the Grant County Board of Supervisors, a member of Village Board, School Board Volunteer Fire Department of Blue River, and a member of the Wisconsin and National Funeral Directors Association. Surviving is his wife, Elmyra of Boscobel; two daughters, Jane Ann Godager of San Bernandino, California, Mrs. Robert (Doris Elaine) Randall of Middleton; a son, Roger E.

and his wife Aletha of Muscoda; a sister, Mrs. Thelma Logan of Waupaca; five grandsons, Tedd E. and Kirtt E. Godager, and Ronn, Todd and Gregg Randall; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Carlton; a sister, Thalia Christensen; and an infant.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Blue River. Reverend Carson K. Culver will officiate. Burial will be in Blue River cemetery.

(ret.) FRANKFURT, GERMANY Major Harlow J. Klinefelter age 56, died suddenly of a heart attack on Thursday, May 5, 1983, in Frankfurt, Germany. He was born on February 16, 1927, in Madison, Wisconsin, where he attended the University of Wisconsin, was active in ROTC, gravated and receeved his commission from the University in 1955. He was also a graduate of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He married Dolores E.

Corcoran on June 18, 1955, in Madison, Wisconsin. He served in the European Occupation after World War 11, in the Korean War, and in Vietnam. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Madison. He had served with the military in Frankfurt for the past ten months with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores Corcoran Klinefelter of Frankfurt, Germany; four sons, Michael and Kevin of California, Thomas and Mathew and a daughter, Mary, of Frankfurt; his father, Marlow Klinefelter of Madison; a brother, James Klinefelter of Madison; one uncle, Gracely Klinefelter of Deerfield; and one aunt, Alice Feggestead of Stoughton. He was preceded in death by his dear mother, Irene, on December 24, 1972. Memorial services will be held at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Middleton, Wisconsin, on Monday, May 16 at 11 A.M., with Father David Baker officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Madison.

MADISON Arpad L. Masley, age 92, of 3626 Spring Trail, Madison, passed away May 12, 1983, at a local nursing home. He was born June 19, 1890, in San Francisco, California. He graduated from the Normal College of Physical Education at Indianapolis, Indiana and was a graduate of the Indiana University. In 1923, he became a professor of physical education for men at the University Of Wisconsin.

In the later years, he was director of the men's gymnasium and retired in 1960 as Emeritus Professor. He was a member of The First Congregational Church of Madison, the University Club, the Commonwealth Lodge 325F and AM, the Madison Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Barracks 2086 Veterans of World War I. He was with the company 56th. Pioneer Infantry of World War I in the battle MeuseArgone, France. He is survived by his wife, Joanna A.
