As I know they sre daring and dangerous villains, capable of attempting the rooft horrid crimes, I hereby premife a reward of THREE POUNDS for each, to be paid on their being returned to the gaol of City. The faid negro is about 5 feet 3 inches high, has a fear acrofs his nofe, another above his left eye, and another juft below his right ear, and appears to be a flioemaker. Since his commitment he fays he belongs to Jemmy Jones, of Albemarle. The owner is defued to take him away, and pay charge.

JOHN CRA1NE, gaoler. IF the gentleman who advertifes in this paper for a perfon capable of teaching the GREEK and LATIN languages will pleafe to acquaint captain Carr, in Dumfries, with his terror, he will be waited upon, if the terms pleafe, by a young man juft arrived from Britain, who has had a regular education at the univerfity, and who likewife has had a good ded of practice in teaching the above branches. At a of tie appointed by tbt couventkn, far fuperinttnding tbt manufatlory of fmall arms, at Fredericklburg, on Monday the tyb of September, 1775, THE cemmiiTioners intend to meet on the 10th day of OBubtr next, at Frederkkjburg, for the purpofe of engaging a further number of gunfmiths, and other aryfti, capable of managing that bufinefi in its various branches. He understands farming, and can ufe a fey the well. He carried away with him a Devonshire kerfey brown coloured coat, with metd buttons, and pieced in the fides, fwo ona brig fhirts, roll trowfers, an old felt hat, and a pair of (hoes with firings. He went off with one Reuben Cave, its apprentice, who is returned, and fays that the faid Ingram altered hit name to Jofepb Wagptli, but perhaps he may alter that name; as he is very artful. HENRY COLEMAN. GO i to the gaol of Buckingham a negro woman; about 4 feet 9 inches high, affects that (he cannot fpeak her mailer's name, though fays her name is Cblot. She is drelled with 'a blue and white Swanjkin petticoat, oznabrig fhirt, and ftriped homefpun jacket. I will give TWENTY SHILLINGS reward to any perfon that will fecure him in any gaol, fo that I get him, beftdes what the law allows.

He is of the middle flame, much marked with the fmallpox, and is of a red complexion; had on when he went away a blanket great coat.

Any perfon that will deliver him to me, or fecure him in any of the gaols of this cdloay, fo that I may get him, (hall receive FORTY SHILLINGS' reward. FRANCIS SMITH. There is on this land a good dwellinghoufe, euthoufes, barns, and all other neceffary buildings, very fine orchards, acd other valuable improvements. The fitua tion is exceedingly beautiful and healthy. Alfo a tract of landr lying on the fame river, in the lower part of Amelia county containing 540 acresf 200 of which are low grounds; the whole tract equal in goodneft to any land in the colony, the high landjiei le vel, and produces fine crops of tobacco, wheat, and corn 5 it is well known by the name of Goofe Jpnd; the buildings and ether improvements are valuable, and the plantation in fine order i111 work 12 or 15 hands to advantage.
